Mextures Photo Editor App Reviews

The app won’t recognize any photos I’ve imported from my PC. Every other photo app I have has no issues but this just doesn’t see them even though they’re JPEG’s. There doesn’t appear to be a perfect app out there. One of my favorite apps Distressed FX is a great app, but it downsizes your image to one megabyte. Too bad no apps are developed as time goes by to be almost perfect. I guess there not enough profit to do so. Guess I’ll have to put all my overlays and birds in Adobe cloud and access

Nice app, I used it about ten years ago and recently started experimenting with it again. Too bad the developer checked out, I see literally nothing has changed.

This is the best app I’ve ever used for editing and the amount of effects and filters that are available at no charge is amazing! Apps that have less options than your company, charge people. Your options are so creative too and the tools to adjust filters plus the basics, just… *chefs kiss. Even though this ain’t food.

I’d give this app 5 stars if it can batch edit. Editing photo by photo one at a time is such a pain. I’d pay to even have the batch feature.

I absolutely loved this app, especially because it offered a huge selection of unique & different filters/looks that you couldn’t find anywhere else & also a wide range of editing abilities! This was my go to app for photo editing when using my phone for photography- which is more often that not. I also love the fact that you can create your own filters. For some time now though the app won’t load further than the front page, it won’t let me open photos of go any further to edit anything. Plea

Been using Mextures for just about as long as it’s been a thing. My go to for adding just the right amount of what a photo needs to give it whatever aesthetic I’m going for. Best filter layering application out there

Figured out why the app couldn’t open my photos. I had to grant the app access to “selected photos” in setting since my large photo library overloaded it. So happy to be able to use it again.

App freezes when trying to access photo library in iOS 17. All other functions seem to work as expected.

Awesome application but the “downloading” thing is NOT working after restoring the purchase. It always says “Download Failed.” Hopefully you guys will fix this problem soon. (-2 Stars) My Device: iPhone 14 Pro Max (latest iOS) Note: I regularly update my review/rating for this application.

Love your guy’s app, had it since like 2018, the new logo is NOT IT. Not hating, like I said your app is the best photo editing app by far, seriously, but the new logo design is terrible.

I cannot remember the last time I have used Mextures but I know I was pretty impressed some years back when I installed it as the first photo editing app I’ve used with an iPhone. As such I’m happy to have it, though my experience with it as very recently is a bit tarnished. The app seems to want to crash when sharing a photo via iMessage, and sometimes even loading the share sheet tends to cause it to lag and potentially crash as well.

I have so much desire to use this app, but the iPhone design of this app, leaves many of us iPad Pro editors who edit in Landscape Orientation scratching our heads as to why only Portrait mode and no Landscape. Also I (like many, I suspect) edit our images from our files app and not from the camera roll..i.e. photos shot from traditional cameras. I would hope that you would address these issues in a future update.

This app is great at what it does, but even in iOS 15 it shows up in portrait mode when I have my iPad in landscape. Even instagram now shows the right way up.

Great app for adding incredible accents to photos. I wish it was available on Android, but I’m just happy it’s available at all. Well done and thank you!

As of Sept. 2024, Mextures doesn’t work for me. The app loads but I can’t access photos or edit anything. RIP Mextures 🪦

Sadly, this could-have-been-great app has had no update for over a year, and no real meaningful additions to the app, such as editing in landscape mode, or texture offerings before that. Too bad …

Seriously disappointed in the app. It used to be one of the best!!! Now it doesn’t even open after reinstalling several times.

It’s all there, but someone appears to have walked away. If it won’t work on an iPhone 14 Pro Max in 2023, that pretty much tells you all you need to know. Stick a fork in it if you’re not going to support it. Or, sell it or change the business model so it’s worth maintaining it. But leaving it in the App Store like this is such a waste. Waste of a great idea and waste of time dealing with all the bugs, freezing, crashing etc.

I’ve been using this app for about 5 years. It is insanely amazing at editing. But it’s extremely unfortunate that I cannot use it. With every single update it’s gotten worse, now it doesn’t work at all or even open up on my iPhone 14. I need to boot up my old iPhone XS and use it on there (which the app is still very slow and glitchy, but at least works.. eventually) such an absolute bummer that it offers such amazing edits yet within 5 years the creators can’t figure out how to get this app to
