34 Positive User Reviews for Mimi Hearing Test

Impressive

I’ve been to audiologists for hearing tests and this is really no different, except this seems more varied (?) if that makes sense? It has ranges from very, very low to very high pitch that you pick up on, rather than a single sound or tone. I’m impressed!

Not updated for AirPods Pro 3

App isn’t updated for AirPods Pro 3. The device doesn’t appear in the device list

Tested compared to Professional test

Works wonders to detect my fluctuating hearing loss (and to go in for treatment) saves me a lot of money. I’ve done these tests directly after or before a real hearing test with basically the same results.

Easy to use( readily availabkr

Easy to use. Readily available

Hearing test

Your hearing test is accurate! I recently was tested by an audiologist at UCDAVIS HOSPITAL. The results are almost identical. Amazing! Thank you. I am considering the Apple AirPods 3. Plus. Will these new AirPods be helpful to me?

Great Hearing Test App

Good testing device just like at the doctor

Feedback

Very impressive results. The results were in agreement with the hospital measurements.

Simple to use

The app has straightforward instructions, and is simple to use. In the last few months, I’ve been working in a very loud environment and I was concerned that I may have lost some hearing due to that. This app indicates that I haven’t, it is reassuring that I have not. 🙂

Nicer than the native app

Uses a “let go when you can’t hear it” approach to testing. I like it better than the “tap when you hear it” in the a native iPhone health. And it’s free.

MD

Great easy test to confirm your hearing ability, of course we will need professional to sign off on that, but great tool

Great App

This app is great and useful. Glad I tried it.

Muy importante revisarse

Luego del COVID pensé que escuchaba más, ya me había hecho esta prueba y hoy confirmé que en efecto aumentó mi capacidad de escuchar.

Consistent

Results are consistent with audiologist assessment

Valuable information and resource.

Now that Air Pods Pro + have been approved by the FDA for mild to medium hearing issues I decided to try this out and then purchased Air Pods Pro 2 - despite having just purchased the top Sony ear buds.

Smart idea

What a helpful simple test! This is very useful especially as we get older. Thanks.

Age 80

Helpful data I obtained at home.

Interesting

The test was conducted in a bit of a noisy place. I will compare it with my next hearing test, but given the noisy environment, this looks fairly accurate.

Easy to use and seems to be accurate

Very easy to use and seems to be accurate

Beautiful and informative

Kudos to the team that designed this app. Super intuitive, beautiful report and easy to use. Love that you can also export to HealthKit.

yayay

❤️‍🔥

Fantastic test

Super fast and easy to do a Hearing Test to see if things are still on track.

Consistency vs Accuracy

I’ve used this service numerous times over the years, and although the results have been consistent, I still wonder how accurately MiMi measures up against a traditional audiometer

Wonderful and simple at home hearing test!

Love the simplicity and user friendly interface. Always wondered how well my hearing was, but haven’t had a hearing test in ages. I’m planning on repeating this test regularly and to share it with my family and friends ❤️👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ruined the best hearing test on the store

The new 6.0.0 version removes support for audiograms; this test was previously the best one available for iOS by a very wide measure, but without the ability to export the measured audio data to Apple Health, it lost most of its usefulness. I’ve tried a half dozen other hearing test apps, and not one of them even comes close to good enough to replace what Mimi lost in this update. Giving three stars instead of one in memoriam of what this app used to be.

What happened?

I’ve been using this app to monitor my fluctuating hearing loss for several months now but the redesign no longer lets you see your previous tests. Luckily I’m still connected to Apple Health but it was easier to flip through the tests in the app

Awesome app! Suspicious of my AirPods Pro though…

Unless my hearing has miraculously recovered by 20% a decade after losing it to thousands of hours around jet engines, I’m a little suspicious AirPods Pro might be too good at their job to let you miss the beeps. If you need accurate results, it may be worth trying the test with all the pods features turned off. 😂

Seemed accurate

Tried a few and this was the best. I did like on another app that green, yellow, red thresholds were defined at 25, 45, 70 db HL- useful context. I would be interested, relative to my age, what percentile my hearing falls into. This would probably be my top request as it would help me identify how bad my hearing is compared to others. Then this is perhaps beyond the scope of the app but seems like an obvious continuation of it, what next? “Monitor your hearing loss”, “Contact an audiologist”

This was cool

Interesting and helpful

Interesting and helpful thanks

Wonderfully helpful

It is so helpful to be able to use this app for such vital information about one’s hearing. Thank you so much!

Hearing test

Very informative easy.

3 Negative User Reviews for Mimi Hearing Test

Does not work

Will not allow me to reset my Apple ear pods

just go to an audiologist

it was fine but didn't match up with a professional test and only supports certain headphones

Few instructions

I went out and bought a set of wireless ear buds so I could do the test on my iPad. Then the app starts up telling me I need $550 Apple calibrated buds, whatever they are. Did I miss the instructions? I figured hold my finger down when I start hearing the beep. After a while I figure I’m supposed to hold my finger down until I stop hearing the beep? Is that right? I don’t know. I’ll try it again later. I thought it confusing
