There is no better way to learn modular synth than VCV rack

Probably the best modular synth on the App Store, it gives you VCV on the go with tons of options to build a monster. $11 might seem high but it gets you not only a portable rack but it’s also an audio unit and you can probably get more advantage from an M1/M2 device, like a desktop to put your racks in the big workstation or on iPad for more power to make complex patches. Go out there and learn modular and try out VCV to make sure this is the right option, and take it anywhere.

It may not have the tactile satisfaction you get with Eurorack but the price is better

A fantastic app i’ve been using for planning and problem solving as I build my first real life rack. Love it.

This app is absolutely killer, and falls into the category of I'd gladly pay a modest subscription to ensure it's continued success.

Hey guys the player is not loading samples which are saved in the documents folder. It used to work fine but now I just crashes every time. This just a heads up can you fix that please thank you! If you are interested in modular synthesis, miRack is an economical way to dive in and explore. You'll be able to work with an array of modules and get a good overview of what the modular world has to offer in general all before you decide to put in a hundred or multiple hundreds of gold bricks into a practical system. In miRack, you can probably find a virtual module very similar to what you want to buy in the real world, and figure it out, before you buy it. Or you may just get completely imme

This is too good to have in my pocket at all times. After about 2 months of no issues the app is crashing on open. I don't have anything extravagant i was working on but the app currently won't open. Hopefully it gets fixed asap cause this was the best 15 bucks I ever spent

I’m giving it five stars because it clearly deserves it (I’m pretty sure). But… I spent twenty minutes with it and then fled in terror. Root canal was looking like a kinder alternative. Everyone else, enjoy!

I made a mistake and need to get a refund please.

I just updated to latest iOS and noticed a power leak . Before update the app was only using 22%, after update it now uses 80% unstable. Please update as this makes the app un-usable.

Because, you will have all the best euro rack gear on your computer. It's amazing really!

But it currently auto crashes instantly and I can’t use it. Bummer

I spend so much time playing with this app on my iPad, my real world eurorack gear gets neglected! I just tried it out on my Mac, and I am so excited to have its full goodness on my mac too!

This is really well done and is logical and works perfect so far. It is super complex, but that is its genius and only my user errors and learning curve stand in my way. This is literally a virtual euro rack so what can you say.... thanks and wow

you’re getting an interchangeable modular set up for 10 dollars, this should be illegal 😅can be good for testing out scenarios for using on the real thing

This app is pretty decent but lacking in the abundance of awesome modules found in VCV rack. I mean come on now how long do we have to wait for Instrou modules? Come on developer step up the game!

There's a lot to get lost in here! I am flabbergasted at the wealth of synth toys here. I haven’t loaded it up yet but it’s running great on my orig iPad Pro. This is a must have synth app.

It was a long time waiting something like that for iPadOS. The touchable interface makes the experience nicer if we compare with the desktop. So happy. Thanks!

Almost 300 modules out of the box to experiment with. No internal documentation for the modules, but since they’re open-source we shouldn’t have much trouble looking them up online. Excellent kit value for the price!

Installed n went to work.....no glitches....running on a IPad Air2. Love at first sight n first patch....

This thing is awesome. Works pretty good on my 5 year old iPad. I can’t imagine how much better it would be on a current model. Makes me want to buy an iPad Pro.

This is a great start, however, it is missing multiple audio channel out and MIDI out. Other than that, this is pretty great so far, and I can’t wait to see where this project is going!

This is easily one of the best music apps on iOS. There are other “modular” apps which are OK but this is killer! Saved me getting a hardware modular!

Just so happy about this update and app!

Haven’t been this excited about an app in a long time. This gets me one step closer to working exclusively on the iPad.

Great way to learn modular on your iPad

App doesn’t play through bluetooth headphones. Old patches are just gone.

Update: The IAA and Audiobus feature has been added. The best skeuomorphic modular synth app on iOS. But is there a way to record it with inter app audio or audiobus?

Was worried about running this due to VCV being such a CPU hog on desktop. But this runs smoother on my ipad than VCV does on my super duper desktop. Its uncanny. Incredible app.

If you thought you would never afford a eurorack system, you were wrong. I know I was! Fantastic development and a supportive community.

Ironically I can't get vcv to run on my computer but this app runs amazingly. This ios version is amazing, and I can even program notes and other options directly from my digitakt with a USB to lightning cable! Please add more modules

It would be great to have an undo and redo button, sometimes you accidentally change something and it’s not always easy to figure out what happened. Also, can midi out be supported?
