26 Positive User Reviews for MP3 Audiobook Player Pro
I’ve used MP3 Player for years with no problems. Finally had an issue, but it was fixed in a couple of hours.
I like this app, but is there a way to LOOP an mp3 file to play again automatically or repeat itself?
Totally worth it for the ability to play Opus, the rest of the features are icing on the cake. With Opus you can do speech at 24kbps or even lower and not tell a difference. A 25-hour book becomes <300 MB. Altogether a great app.
I love that this app supports so many formats, but was disappointed that amid all the complex ways of loading the files in there’s no integration with the iOS Files structure (the easiest way to copy files around in iOS now).
I tried all the methods mentioned to add files, nothing is working. I just gave up.
iPhone SE 2020. iOS 18.4. 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid AWD. After starting the car , on Apple CarPlay I open MP3 Book Player Pro and try to start listening the book by touching the ‘>’ icon. It doesn’t work. I have to take iPhone in my hand, find the app, open it and then start listening. After that during the drive and can stop and proceed, but the problem will show up next time I start the car. Please advise. Thank you. Igor
Sleep timer doesn’t work after the update
I have been using this app for years, watching it grow from the little app that could to a full-fledged audiobook player with every bell and whistle a person could want. And it’s light years ahead of whatever Apple wants you to use as an audiobook player. One of its best features is that it allows the user to upload FLAC files to an Apple device, so it’s great for listening to albums as well!
This is the best app for all of my audio books. It is simple, easy to navigate and plays all audio formats I have.
It took me a long time to figure out how to load my audiobook files from my Mac to my iphone. The YouTube video linked in this app demonstrates on an iPhone many generations ago and I never dealt much with “File Sharing” back in the day. I clicked the word “Files” and voila, the MP3 icon was there. At any rate, it’s a great app, always picks up in the right places and I’m thankful for it.
Every time I try something new this app rises to the occasion. It’s just wonderful. I’ve learned that sharing from the files app works perfectly. You can install books that way. In the playing options are wonderful. Highly recommended.
Perfect for me! It has all the flexibility you want to listen to anything. I even put my amazon playlist as a book when I want music!
Update 1: it would be great to have an ability to edit/write bookmark while able to listen/pause on the go. Now it is: bookmark>write note> save> continue playing. Love the app, probably my favorite and most used app!!!
I’ve been using this app for my audiobooks. It works so well. Highly recommend.
I have used this for many years Download’s from iCloud with ease
I’ve tried most players, but this is by far the best. It has tons of features. I especially like being able to load audiobooks using my browser. Five stars!
Simple, flexible interface that plays multiple formats without locking you in to any particular platform. After listening to many audiobooks, I made a user error and reached out to support. The next morning received technical explanation and and very helpful suggestion. Interface is so simple, I unfortunately never bothered to read the short hints provided and really appreciated the quick support. Thank you!
In version 1.163 ipv6 needs to be enabled in your network Ethernet properties or Windows can’t find the link.
Been using this app for years, and have only seen this app get better and better with new features over time. If you are looking for a player with all the features you would expect to play any audio file as if it was an audiobook. This is the app for you!
Update for latest version 10/22/2023: Still perfect, but even better. Latest update transfers files amazingly fast. Easy to transfer files. Supports every kind of audio file. It’s smart about combining multiple files for one book for easy navigation and use. I have no complaints. If you use non standard audio books with many mp3s or whatever per book, this app is Perfect. It even has an Apple Watch app. Great bookmarking and navigation tools. You always know where you are or should be in a boo
Keep podfic on its own instead of mixed in with other audiobooks. Has useful features like group labels and bookmarks. Nice and reliable over several years.
This app has functioned great for years. But I recently got AirPod Pros and when Siri reads a notification this app doesn’t pause. It just gets quiet and I miss out on the book and my notification. This app is acting like it’s a music player, not a book player. Audible and my podcast player pause when Siri reads notifications and this should as well.
Keep podfic on its own instead of mixed in with other audiobooks. Has useful features like group labels and bookmarks. Nice and reliable over several years.
Computer and phone in the same network Wi-Fi stopped transferring books to iPhone 11
Totally convenient - everything I can imagine wanting in an audio player.
1 Negative User Reviews for MP3 Audiobook Player Pro
I’ve been using this for years and randomly it will jump around from one track to another and refuse to go back where I left off. This makes listening to books on it impossible. Other book players don’t do this. And these are books I’ve listened to before on the all without any issues. As of now I’ve switch to another player as this one is too inconsistent.
