its good to write reviews on and is easy to construct a profile but oh my god this algorithm is horrendous i listen to and sometimes comment on rock music using this and it shows me stuff about kendrick lamar and taylor swift they need to rework their algorithm

Musicboard is the Letterboxd of music ratings.

Love the platform but when ever I try to upload a profile picture it says “can’t communicate with servers”

I’m a long-time Musicboard user, and I love the app’s interface. It makes logging my listens simple and a fun! It’s become an integral part of my music-listening experience.

pretty good idea but the app is very glitchy and doesn’t work sometimes

I love using the platform to share what I’ve listened too. However, the app will glitch add the same album to a list multiple times and will begin glitching the rest of your list.

Has a few bugs, the home page and following/friend system needs help but a necessary app for anyone who feels the need to rate every piece of media they consume lol

I literally cannot figure out how to favorite an album on my profile. I did it twice and have no memory as to how I did it.

Letterboxd for music. W app idea and fun to use. My only complaint is there are always bugs. One of which when you search music to add your custom lists and scroll down, everything disappears. With more frequent updates/bug fixes this should be a 5-star in the near future

I got this app about a year ago and i absolutely love it! the community is awesome and i have found multiple people with similar music interests and taste as mine. best of all is that through these reviews i have been able to discover some new album and songs that’s have become favorites. very very thankful for this app.

Great interface and what I want in an app. Cool to see they’re willing to listen to the users with voting options for new features. Hope this app goes big

You can read normies bad takes and have a journal for your music. Amazing. Also some people on there do have good taste so you might find some good stuff fr fr

i use this app mostly to keep track of albums i have listened too!! but it’s also great to see how others feel about ur favorite songs. there’s a lot of opportunity for music discovery !! PLS i wish there was a search bar for the albums you have rated. so i don’t have to scroll every time to find a certain rating. that’s it. great app! just search bar for rated albums pls. and thanks :D

Please add some cool features like brackets where you can face off albums and songs to see which are best. I just think it’s lacking some fun features to get the conversation flowing

Yay it got fixed ily musicboard!

it’s usually great, but for the past few months, everything takes so long to load. updating and restarting the app doesn’t work.

if you search for an artist and then try to go to the artist's page to look at their discography, it doesn't work from the search tab. you have to go through your reviews on your profile to open an artist/album/song's page, so i really hope they fix that because it's pretty annoying. god forbid you like niche artists, because it's gonna be about a week before you can review an album that just came out. you also cannot play previews for like any song. i really hope they fix a lot of these errors

The app has promise despite a handful of UI quibbles, but the main thing that keeps me from using it is artist’s discographies being a complete mess. A band like R.E.M., for example, not only has multiple re-releases of the same albums cluttering up their discography section, but the release year info for a lot of those albums is just wrong (“Reckoning” did not come out in 1995). There are also many compilations and live albums listed under Albums rather than their respective sections. Until err

Doesn’t pull albums from many places, the main appeal of rateyourmusic is having everything I listen to right there, not just what’s on spotify.
