About 18 months ago the FOOD NOTES page on my Ipad app stopped appearing. It does appear on my Iphone when using the app Multiple communications for a year-and-a-half with customer service has failed to resolve the issue. I have been told multiple times that this problem is being addressed in a timely manner…18 months…NOTHING has been resolved. NOT GOOD!!!
It makes keep track of things and makes do them.
Been using this app to track my calorie intake for cutting season and it’s spot on. It made me realize how many calories I am truly taking in every meal, snack, or drink I consume. I wish it estimated how many calories you lose per strength exercises such as weight lifting, but overall it’s a great app!
Unless you pay you’re not able to access as much useful information as in the past. Still helpful but was better before
Interphase is simple and easy for log and track
Useful to help me make smart choices, log foods. Wish I could edit saved recipes
Easy to use. Great way to track my food intake and stay focused on my goal.
Extensive list of menu items to add to meal consumption
I weigh all my food and the weight option isn’t always available
I’ve had this app for years. Now they want $80/year for things you used to get for free.
I am Bariatric patient and I use this app to track my daily protein goals. Have used it for a year and a half and love it.
Helps to keep up with my calories, sodium and sugar intake which is important to me.
Daily use has helped me lose 25 pounds in the last 6 months.
I don’t like the new format.
The barcode scanner is horrendous. It’s worse than MacroFactor which has a portion of the database. For the subscription MFP is asking, this is a dealbreaker.
The best aspect of the app was the “scan barcode” feature. That feature was free for years. It’s sad to see that it’s now monetized, heftily at that.
I’ve just started using My Fitness Pal and really like the app. It’s easy to log foods and the label scan to find foods is amazing. I love the ‘Dashboard’ w/ Macros breakdown. I find I only use the ‘Dashboard’ and ‘Diary’ and don’t really get the ‘Newsfeed.’ I also have a tough time entering serving sizes - since I enter everything in grams, sometimes that’s not an option. It would be great to be able to type the number servings. Also, I’d love to see the app icon updated to ‘My Fitness Pal’ or
Endless list of great things to say about this app. If you’re serious about losing weight this is definitely worth using. The only thing thing i’ve seen so far, and it’s minor, is when you log a cardio exercise the keyboard will constantly move when deleting and entering in the calories you burned. Other than that this is 5/5
Now you have to pay for barcode scanner. Was free for years. Guess ringer to look for alternative.
I updated my app and now I can’t scan a food barcode without upgrading to the pay version. I have been using this app for a long time and if you are taking thing away to force me to buy premium, I will find another logging app.
Looking at the support threads it seems like the problems I have has existed for (5+) years. I upgraded to premium hoping I’d get a better experience, but still problematic. The syncing with my Apple health app and/or watch is hit or miss. I also sometimes get prompted to “turn on all” for my health app permissions, but they are all on already. Just a buggy app I guess. The main system of tracking calories works well though, so I will give if 3 stars.
I used to love this app. It was so simple and user friendly. Now it is unnecessarily complicated and I no longer enjoy using it.
I just had to write a review after the latest update. I used to look forward to using this app daily, but now it’s packed with stupid video ads after logging any food item. Absolute garbage. Now keeping an eye out for an alternative.
This app has helped me monitor what I eat, thanks to this app I eat healthier and have lost nearly 10 lbs and counting :) In future versions, I would like to be able to add a bar code number along with the the nutrient content of the food I add. I would also like the foods I bar code scan to be save automatically.
i’ve had this app for years for both healthy and unhealthy reasons. When trying to get in better control of my health (watch my sugar, eat more balanced) I downloaded this app again and signed up for premium trial hoping that maybe with premium I could just track nutrients. I think that’s what’s one of the things that stops this app from being really great. I’ll probably use it for the remainder of my trial but will be actively looking for a different app because I just want to track my protein
Please add a feature that lets you share recipes with friends through the app. Other than that this app is perfect!!
It said I had to be older than 18 and I have problems now when I’m 12 so how am I supposed to set it by my self and there’s no way I will ever use this app every again because of the set up process.
I’ve been on myfitnesspal since 2010; it’s a great app and as a long-time user I’m a little disappointed with the new updates that include pop up ads and a confusing UI. The new layout isn’t intuitive and makes navigation harder.
Great app for tracking and interfacing with other apps and devices. The downfall being the new adds that hijack the screen on occasion. May just be the thing that gets it deleted.
This app has helped me significantly through my fitness journey. I have lost 20 pounds due to the calorie tracker. What a great source to use and is highly recommended for people wanting to start bettering themselves. One update I would like to see it the option for Dark Mode on Apple devices. This may be a personal request, but the option would be nice.
Only issue I have is there isn’t enough meal options. Should be able to add meals. Not just breakfast lunch dinner snack option… meal 1,2,3etc
Easy to use love the reminders which really helps on busy days
Before the update this app had great features for tracking weight. Now as soon as I enter my weight the screen exits. I don’t like that. I also liked logging in and seeing the news feed. I’m not sure if I will renew.
I’m learning to use the app. So far do good!
I’m not sure where the glitch lies but my exercise does not import until I come here and complain. Very weird. Today two sections of my workout did import but two didn’t.
I used to love using MyFitnessPal. It was very user friendly, and it was easy to add my food to meals. There was a “plus” button on the main page that made it very, very easy to add food, water, and exercises. Now, I have to click multiple times in order to add info to my daily diary.
I honestly love this app. It helps me maintain my goals and it has been updated so much, so keeping track of your meals is so much easier with scanning the barcode! Definitely keeps me active and motivated .
Superb breadth. Not very intuitive for the novice user. I am constantly becoming lost in the complexity the breadth of scope affords. It will improve but it is frustrating!
This app is amazing for everything health related
Great app that offers a lot of useful information, but with recent updates has become extremely sluggish. There’s still no alternative that compares
I really like this app and I pay premium. Recently my goals have not been updating and I am frustrated about it
Used to be able to sync my workouts from Apple Health but it no longer works. I’ve tried all the suggested fixes to no avail. I guess because I use the free version it’s to be expected.
Exercise sync with Apple Health seems broke after most recent update. Have tried deleting and reinstalling app to no avail. Makes daily diary entry more time consuming. UPDATE: update pushed through on June 22 (2022) seems to have fixed the sync issue. Thanks!!!
To developer: Tapping on the newsfeed seems to work (for me, at least) to sync with apple workout. Thanks for the heads-up on that workaround. In fact, it syncs more reliably & quicker than before. (The app does still freeze fairly frequently tho’ : )

Used to be able to scan UPCs. Now that’s locked unless you pay for it.
