23 Positive User Reviews for National Park Service

Great App

Proof that our government does things well. Hopefully won’t see Trump’s face show up on any of the pages.

Very informative

Great app! Very informative

Fun, Educational and User-Friendly

I love the national parks and it’s been so helpful to have the app as I travel. My one and only suggestion would be to add our cards to our accounts on the app so we have a digital version through the app.

Helpful

Wonderful to have this app as you visit national parks. It gives you a snap chat of what you can do so you can prepare properly before your visit.

Phenomenal app

NPS is the best thing about our country. This app makes it super easy to plan trips to Parks and to find hikes and other activities with kids.

Great app!

Have recently started visiting national parks and this app has helped tremendously!

Not so great

This app does not have a list or map i found showing parks, monuments etc. if you know a specific park you are going to then it would be fine. But to explore options you have to search elsewhere. Just not a good program and needs to be better.

NPS

Best of America. Keep our parks staffed. Our reward for many years of hard work

Gettysburg

My Husband and I used this app to do a self guided tour of the battlefield. We used the audio in the truck then got out and watched the videos as we explored the battlefield. We have been coming here for years but didn’t know about this app until a very friendly guide told us about it! Well worth the download and will be using this for future adventures!!! ❤️❤️❤️

A Work in Progress

I love the National Park Service & want so badly to love the app, but it's been super glitchy for more than a year now. It freezes up every time I try to use it, often after just one or two taps. If this were fixed, I'd give the app five stars as it's so helpful to have all the info in one place & be able to use it offline. Some of the newer park sites (ie, Blackwell School NHS) are in the app but can't be added to any lists. Would really appreciate an update that fixes this issue.

Park calendar sorted by event title?!

This app is good except one brain dead thing I would like changed which is that the park event calendar is sorted by name instead of time. So it’s very hard to find what’s happening soon at a glance. Please change this! Thanks.

Great, but would benefit from some usability updates

Just downloaded the app, and absolutely love the ability to manage and track all of the national park information in one place. That said, I wish there were an option/button when you are within a park or monument to add to your organized lists. Currently, the only option is to add it to favorites. Having more organization functionality within the “explore full park” page for each would greatly increase ease of use for tracking.

Good but…

Can you add more details on the map

Apple CarPlay???

Love using the app when we visit National Parks. Would love if it were CarPlay compatible! Any chance that is in the works?

Why not add National Forests ?

I’m a Boy Scout in BSA and we do many outings in parks and places with wilderness. This app is for a nature/explorer type person. Pretty good app, not too much bugs. But , can NPS add National Forests and 24/7 weather reports? PLS.

Must have app

Must have app for visiting parks. The suggestion for using the east entrance at the Grand Canyon was a godsend. Saved us hours! I will be using this app again and again.

What happened to my lists?

I really like this app and I enjoyed being able to make lists to keep track of parks I visited, parks I plan to visit in the near future, and remaining parks. With the latest update, those lists are gone! Please bring them back!

App no longer opens on my iPad

Newest (4/2/24) update works on my iPhone but will no longer open on my iPad 6th gen running iOS 17.4.1. Please debug this! I enjoy the app and like using it on my iPad because it is easier for me to read.

What a comeback.

I was pleasantly impressed by the quick fix to the latest version. Adding the create a Postcard of a visit to a NPS site is great, especially since it has the NPS logo and park’s name on it. You can create a National Park Site album in your photos and then move each postcard to the album. Only thing I hope you add back is the total number of parks visited. That was a feature of lists but is not included in the parks visited section.

Love the app!!

We drive a semi for a living, and love having the NPS app! So when we are stationary for a day or two, we get on the app to see what is close that we can go see. The only thing I can think of to improve, would be to add a section “Places I’ve Been To” where we can visually see all the locations we have visited (without having to look in our Passport book)

iCloud support?

Just discovered this app and am still exploring it. I am wondering if this could support iCloud so I can share my settings between my iPad and iPhone.

Not all spots available to add to “visited” list

I love this app and use it a lot, but I was disappointed to find that I could not add Navajo National Monument to my list of visited locations when I was at the monument today. You can find it in the app but you can’t add it to your own list.

This is totally great

I don’t know about you but if you love history and nature and don’t know what do just look on this app that includes all the 400+ national parks
