The app provides convenient access to live sports streaming with good video quality and minimal buffering. However, the advertisements are disruptive - they play at a significantly higher volume than the main broadcast, which is unpleasant and feels intrusive. Adjusting ad volume to match the stream would greatly improve the overall user experience.

So I was paying for a streaming service to watch NESN. I avoided this app because of the bad reviews. I’m happy to report the app is great. Sure, I’d like to pay less for it, but other than that I’ve had no lagging, no freezing, and no issues. I gave it 4 stars cause it does a few minor things that could be improved depending on the device you use, but overall I’m happy. I am dropping the other thing which will save me a lot of money. Is exactly what it should be — NESN direct for cord-cutters! Sure a few features could be improved here and there — but by and large this app performs exactly as advertised. Thank you for creating this way for folks like me to watch the B’s and the Sox!

The app seems to be better this year after only watching three games. But one noticeable issue is that when I stop a game and go to replay it later, it starts from the very beginning which is very annoying. And showing the current score on the main display totally ruins the experience of watching a game after it has been played. Knowing the outcome beforehand kills the desire to watch the game! If you got rid of cable, and you want to watch the Red Sox and Bruins, then I guess so. It’s nice to be able to watch it wherever whenever, but the commercials are 10 times louder than the broadcast, because of local commercials there’s a screen that it’s on a commercial break, but sometimes will continue to play commercials, even though the game is back on again. You think with all the money they charge they could afford actual professionals to make an app.

My first gripe with this app. Volume difference between from one commercial to the next is ridiculous. Super loud to super soft, annoying and should be easily fixed. Picture quality is also an issue.

It literally can’t cast. No matter the device or network I’m connected to, it won’t let me cast to any devices ever. The in-game stats are great and the only reason I gave this more than 1 star. Functionality is garbage.

First, the app costs $30 monthly, which is expensive by any measure. Because we have YouTube TV, and I am huge Red Sox fan, I need to use this app and stream on Apple TV. I use this app but am often frustrated. The app freezes and when you reset it it takes time and you miss the action. Trying to rewind and rewatch a play is also frustrating as it doesn’t work like any other app. Will ride out my current subscription but won’t renew next year unless they improve the app.

App will cut away to ads during game and not return in time. Saturday against the Brewers it went to ads with 2 outs in the ninth, and didn’t come back until the game was over. Did this throughout the game. Missed a lot of action. Also, they show the same ads again and again and again. Enough to make you crazy.

Why do we need to watch a T-Mobile advertisement before streaming despite paying $30/month? Also, app won’t stay on in the background. It will close itself and you need to restart and watch and other advertisement
