Nomad Sculpt App Reviews

I am eager to learn but the software has a lot of options and is difficult to figure out.

We need like plane extrude options or something of the sort, just something to make it a little easier

Whenever I feel there's functionality Nomad doesn't have I wander off to other to other platforms. After a few months I always come back. The fact of the matter is the happier I am, the more I create. Nomad is distilled to what you actually need for organic modeling. Using outside apps (Cozy Blanket for edge loops or Shapr3D for hard surface) flows better than having it all jammed into a single app. One time fee and it's everything it needs to be for organic modeling. I don’t understand how to get some menus to disappear when you click off of it. I’m sure there is a way but at the moment I can’t see what I’m doing when I accidentally click that option. I’m sure if I can find a tutorial then this app has huge potential.

I’ve used this app to work for commercial production in a mobile way. At this point I prefer it to zbrush

I’m an engineer and I only know how to use Solidworks. I want to try something different and this app is amazing. Now I can easily turn my ideas into 3D models.

A little hard to learn at first but easier than other platforms

It would be cool if you manage to add bones so it’s easier to pose models

Please add an automatic saving feature, you can lose all of your hard work in a matter of seconds if you do not manually save your art.

I want to make a model then color it on nomad right I do that, I want to send it to someone with coloring attached as a OBJ file but I can’t do that. Why can’t I do that?

Never used it before and made a nose in 3 minutes.

We all know this is the mark of an app that wants to continue to stay on the platform for many years to come. A good sign for software this new.

In one weekend I was able to create a relatively complex 3-D figure with zero 3-D experience. Very intuitive. It feels like sculpting with clay. Plus, it’s simply enjoyable to use. Strongly recommend!!!!! Very much worth the money.

Zbrush for the ipad with eevee style rendering. But the scene hierarchy and pivots works better than Zbrush. Love it!

I wouldn’t be able to make these gigantic files without this prog. The abilities are amazing and the app has such a vibrant community. The developer is active on the forum and responds/adds new abilities constantly. We’ll worth the time!!

I have worked with all sculpt and modeling programs. All of them.nomad is the best of the best! I cannot lower myself to return to any other sculpt software. They pale in comparison to Nomad, and that is the honest 100% truth. I am so thankful for Nomad, it has taken my art to the highest level I have ever Enjoyed!!

Great for 3d modeling

This app is epic, Apple Store art apps wouldn’t be complete without it!

Smooth organic, love it

An app that’s not a subscription. I can purchase extra add ons , etc. but this is kinda app I use maybe once a month. I wouldn’t have gotten it otherwise. Anyway, looks like fun.

This is such a great sculpting tool for the iPad. Works really well with Apple Pencil. A nice clean, interface with good tool depth. Really well thought-through, and a very intuitive workflow. I wish I had found it sooner. Best money I’ve spent in a long time. I’m so happy to have this great sculpting tool that doesn’t require a subscription!! Even if you’re just an enthusiastic hobbyist in the world of 3D modeling, you’re going to want this this app. Many thanks to the developer!

I cannot believe how intuitive and easy this program is to use. If you have been looking for the “Procreate of 3D sculpting”, this is it. I honestly am so amazed and grateful this exists, I’m kind of at a loss for words. The fact that I can make something quickly and then play around further in Blender is just mind-boggling. What a time to be alive. To the developers - a very sincere THANK YOU!

Even better than Zbrush to understand, I have a suggestion for nomad sculpt though, would it be possible if you guys add a pose/limb tool in the future? It would be a big blessing for many of us!

This app is pretty cool. Although, I dunno if such a request is even practical, but if it is, Being able to rig, & thus easily repose our models, would be a greatly appreciated feature update.

This app is truly worth it. There is no premium subscription in the app and it is really easy to use. The paint feature is good I just wish it was a little less pixelated and more like an airbrush but otherwise really good

Hella crashes can barely complete any work bc of it

I had a 3rd gen iPad Pro, and upgraded for a different app. As a result Nomad is super fast and smooth and now feels like a desktop grade 3d sculpting application. Remeshing is quick and seemless, no lag… fell in love with this app again1

I was able to sculpt my next product at night while on vacation with my family. Absolutely essential to balance my work and family life. So far I haven’t needed additional software to go from primitive sphere to slicer program.

I still have a hard time believing this runs on my iPad. Amazing program with great support from the creator(s).

Stephane has created a gem of an app for professionals and hobby sculptors. It’s really intuitive and fun to work with .

It’s absolutely amazing how deep this app goes. There are plenty of YouTube tutorial videos to get you started and once you do, you won’t believe it.

Seriously is great, best sculpting app I’ve tried. Forger was cool but symmetry never worked right. Nomad is really like ZBrush for your iPad and the iPhone app is awesome too. Worth it!

For the price, this is AMAZING especially for hobbyists.

I was very excited to approach sculpting with nomad after watching dozens of tutorials from only a year or so ago. Extremely saddened to see that over the course of a year the app has become basically unusable for newbies.
