I was looking for a learning tool, not a reference. As such, I was pretty disappointed in the quizzes (even the 'advanced' quizzes), which are just sight-reading exercises. I could see it being a good reference once you already know music theory.
I got this app long ago and I they always keep on upgreade it.
More quizzes. For every material you have on there. I'm really liking the notes quiz. Because of the staff and the pause button.
You gotta have this app. I use it to look up the names of chords and hear them played.
This is everything you need in a well designed app. It's very simple to use and there's constant updates from the developer insuring everything is working properly. I love nota.
I loved to use it.... But now can't because it is crashing when i open it! I have iOS4 on 2nd gen touch. Please fix so I can enjoy the app again!
It seems they've ironed out the issues this once had. This is a very good app which I use every day. Tremendous resource & great for practicing.
Add chords on the same scale like C dm em F G am B• to listen chord progresions on each tone and ascales on lower octavas to paractice men voice by the way its a nice app but could be the best
This is the best music app I've used. A great great teaching tool. I'm learning to play sax and knowing all the scales and being able to read is essential. With this app you have the visual and sound. I can't say enough.
Nota is a very practical useable app for musician of all kinds. It's clean layout and good-looking interface are a breeze to use. If you play any music this app has something for you!
The advanced quizzes are very helpful, and the reference section is the best I've seen. It helps, too, that the developer is very responsive to suggestions. Would give this 5 stars if I could change the number of quiz questions.
This is one of the best Piano-Apps for IPhone I have found. Tried several - this replaces all of them!
This app is the best if you want to learn music and notes. Playing the piano on my IPod Touch is so much fun. I'm about to buy the iPad2 and I will download this app on it also.
Overall great app, I like it very much I learned a lot and I use it all the time!!! Has good reference sheets, and good scales and chords help.
Thank you the quizzes helped me with my sight reading lesson. Very user friendly.
Love that there's a keyboard, quiz and dictionary. Most well rounded music theory app I've found.
Very good app with many features
This app is not really useful if you already have a basic training in music. The quiz would be great for learning solfege, but it is so buggy it's useless. This app isn't with the cost.
A must have for life long students of music like me!
Could use an update for iphone 5 already ...
Excellent App; love the quiz section!!!
I particularly love the keyboard function.
Nota is the best if you don't have any knowledge in music theory. It's very easy to learn and interact with. Just wish it had a record button. But it does accomplish its purpose. Nobe D.M.F General
Great app very helpful!!, I'm a music major in an arts school and I use this all the time:p
This app is helpful. Do continue and complete this app. Possibilities are grander than what is currently known.
This is a great go-to app for music teaching and scale references, and I'm hoping the developer will reconsider updating it, as the next iOS update will spell its end. The quiz is great!
Why do the scales show ALL accidentals as flat? This is confusing when playing sharp scales! Can you please fix this? Also some rest vales are incorrect. Fix fix fix
I was expecting a whole lot more for five dollars. This app needs to be 99 cents.
There's only one quiz where you sight read single notes.
The quiz is very buggy. Ok for a free app but not worth paying for.
