I ran up against the Apple limit of 5 million numbers, and decided to delete one of the area codes and replace it with another. Once I tried that the app error out, and I have not been able to recover it since not withstanding having reached out to Support 24 hours ago with no response. There are some automated instructions to deleted and reinstall it, which I have done several times, with zero results I will say that up until the time that I tried to make the change, it was working

Does exactly what it says it does. I like the ability to use wildcards, as it easily allows me to block entire area codes that I know I won’t ever be getting any legitimate calls from. Option to always allow contacts is great too.

I got a new phone # and immediately started getting multiple text messages daily for “Joseph”, after years of dealing with the late night texts waking me up to tell me if I “take a spoon full of this to have the best sleep ever”, I got this app! At some point I realized most of the text messages came from 1 certain state I’ve never been too and I know nobody in… with this app I blocked the entire state, I got a few other text after from other area codes, but I just clicked “report as junk” and n

I have been getting relentlessly robo called for weeks. This app put a stop to it.

I was getting 6-7 calls from North Carolina every day. After installing Number Shield, I have blocked about 42 million numbers in NC. Calls are now maybe one a day—then I block that area code and prefix. Nicely done.👍😊

Updated 2024: still working. I never even know it’s there. It just does its job! Original review: I’ve been using this app for several years and it works great. You have to pay attention to setting it up but afterwards it just does its thing. I’ve tried several of the big-name blocker apps but this one is better. The developer is responsive if you have an issue or question. I wish I were more of an influencer so I could help it get more recognition! Thanks to the developer!!

I normally don’t do reviews on apps but I have to say this is a great. I think it’s better than robocaller. I love its simplicity when adding numbers. I was getting 15 robots a day. This app has reduce it to none. It actually blocks the number so it doesn’t come thru and this is what I was looking for. I don’t know who created this app but thank you so much

I moved out of California 15 years ago but I kept my phone number .. about 90% of my spam calls come from my area code and I don’t know anyone from that area code since my stay there was short lived! Come this app, blocked 10 million number with a click and my spam calls are down 80-90%. I hardly get 1 or 2 calls a day instead of the 15 calls I used to get 👍👍👍

Great app but with one HUGE oversight in its limited ability to block international numbers. Say you want to block calls from mainland china which are country code 86… the app wont allow more than so many wild cards which means a deal breaker for international blocks. Given the scammers are increasingly resorting to using international numbers to spam you, this results in a limited functionality.

Almost all the time!

Less than a coffee and it allowed me to block entire area codes in a minute or two. This is by far the best money I’ve ever spent on an app and recommend it to anyone who needs an app like this!

This is a really great app. Spam calls have been significantly reduced. However, you can only block a maximum of 5 area codes completely. In my case, spammers have been using 7 different area codes. Wish I could block those 2 others as well. But Number Shield is still definitely worth it!

Finally! A way to block an entire area code or prefix… finally got sick of all the political spam txt messages, this works great. You have to enable it in phone and messages in settings. Once you do that, you’re golden. Everyone saying it doesn’t work probably hasn’t enabled it.

Pay the 99c. It’s worth so much more.

This is the best app ever! I’ve been asking my carrier to block all calls from my area code and both Verizon and AT&T wouldn’t do it claiming they can’t. $.99 will virtually remove telemarketers from my life!

This is the most frustrating thing because one number with the same area code but different numbers is calling me about the same mess but it’s a robot and it takes up all my space. Then when I have someone important trying to call like a doctor or work, they can’t leave a voice mail because they took up all my space:

It blocks the calls that you tell it to block. Needs an option to cancel the “blocking numbers” process. It requires the phone to be on and the app to be open. Takes at least 15 minutes. I typed in a wrong number and now have to wait until the numbers have been blocked, then wait again to have the number unblocked, then wait again to have the correct numbers blocked. Ugh.

This app does exactly what it says. I can and have blocked entire area codes. B.S. spam has stopped

Would give it 5 stars but every time u reboot your phone it has to reload blocked numbers. I use to get bombarded with scam calls make sure u block an entire area code.

Spammers were using area code + bogus prefix + number. But the number changed each time, so blocking each one manually didn’t work. Calling every few minutes. Found this app, and it appears to be working as advertised. Finally , silence again!

It’s dropped my spam and Robo calls down to less than 1%. It’s about 99.9% effective. Great job guys.

Love the app just what I needed. The developers were very responsive to my question. For iPhone users there is currently a 50,000,000 number limit so I am going to use the entire area code block sparingly

Consumes a lot of storage. Actually filled my cloud storage. I worked around this issue. However it still consumes tons of storage about 500 mbyte per prefix.

I’m not sure why this app hasn’t gotten more recognition. Absolutely works! My ‘missed call list’ from unwanted callers has easily been reduced by >75%. If the phone companies can’t stop robo-dials, this app sure can!

For some reason this is the only app I’ve found that can block entire area codes. It works great, I love this app!

My spam call frequency has dropped by probably 3/4 since I started using the app. Most of the spam calls I get now are 800 numbers and I’m loathe to do a blanket block on those.

I love this app. It allows you to block individual numbers or entire exchanges. It has dramatically reduced the number of annoying spam and robo calls on my cell phone.

But still allows call from your contact list.

Update: After resetting my phone its working again. Won’t load the numbers it suppose to block. Too bad; it used to work great.

The robo calls and sales calls have dwindled to a call every 6-7 weeks. This thing is almost miraculous in how it keeps my phone quiet now days. Love it. Easy to use and effective.

Simple... Allows blocking of any combinations, allows voicemails to still come thru in case it's a real call. Well done developer! Highly recommend

Worked for the first four or five entries but now it won’t open. It says “Blocking Numbers” and never gets past 25% so u can’t put in more numbers.
