NYC Ferry App Reviews

It’s been about 6 years since I started trying the ferry. Every year I decide to give it a shot again and every time it’s late. I catch another ferry when I get to Wall Street and NYC ferry is never dependable. Right now it’s been waiting for 10 minutes for another ferry to move so it can approach Wall Street. Whoever is doing the scheduling and logistics of this ferry should be replaced. May be they should recruit someone from ny waterway, which is always on time.

This is largely a great app but my app for the past two weeks, every time I activate my ticket, the app completely closes/crashes. In addition, the live service map is a little slow and clunky. The map feature is nice but a basic text space that highlights what the current status is is missing on the app (and isn’t the easiest to find on web either).

I met my wife on the ferry in 2021 unfortunately she fell off a boat and drowned but I'll always be thankful for the love I found on the NYC Ferry

This ferry system is great. I’m able to travel along Manhattan’s magnificent skyline up the East River with cooler breezes along the way.

Not intuitive and difficult to figure out how to go where it is I want to go which is the primary purpose.

Clean and quick Only downside ferry runs every 40 minutes, 30 minutes would be ideal Have yet to see ferry shuttle bus…….

The NYC Ferry App is user friendly. And it has provided updated information every time I have used it.

Super easy to use!! Most apps I have used have so many steps and are so slow, this app has such a great UI and it makes it so easy to buy and use my tickets!! This is how apps should be!!

Today was going to be a terrible day. I woke up 5 minutes past my alarm to my dog eating my blush. And then in my rush to work I spilled coffee all over my pants. Uhhhhghu, amiright. The only way this day could’ve gotten worse is if I missed the ferry. Fortunately, I made it on time to the 9 o’clock.

The NYC ferry system is awesome and underrated for the price of a subway ride!

I just wish there was a way to see how many are left in the app when you buy multiple rides. I love the ride and the people on the boat are very friendly and helpful. Thank you !

The app is very simple and much better then the machines.

App seems okay but needs more functionality for Widgets. Right now you cannot see the next ferry for a particular stop through widget.
