I have lots of issues positioning the cursor, getting menus (autocorrect, cut/copy) to display. It's like the devs tried to reimplement these functions instead of using the proven iOS capabilities and it's very frustrating. Would love to see the right sidebar be more useful, or configurable. Currently it just shows links for an open file but it seems like this sidebar is a better place many of the file menu actions. I'd love to slide the bar open to easily close a file, move a file, delete a f
But -2 stars for the cost of Sync. $8/mo is just too much for how little you get.
The last update slowed the app so much I'm having to try over and over to advance the cursor to further paragraphs in my notes.
AUTO CREATED BRAIN GRAPHS, INCREDIBLE
You should try it. I can recommend it to anyone.
Wonderfully designed app that’s easy to use.
amazing app and its amazing its still being updated ! has lots of features and options too :]
I been using One Note for years, I recently switched to Obsidian, and I am impressed. This is an excellent ecosystem of app, plugins and solutions for personal knowledge management, note taking, task management, and everything in between.
Makes zero sense. Obsidian crushes ‘em all for free.
The graph was the selling point for me, seeing how to connect all my notes made it really helpful to go back to certain notes I’ve taken and attach everything together. This is my go to note taking app and the one I use exclusively now.
I have been using obsidian for years now and I have to say that the team who makes this app are triply incredible and deserve all of the love, they work hard to make this tool even more useful and easy to use say by day. This is my first time writing a review after using a cell phone for most of my life, and I have to say that this app is definitely worth your time. I have written pages upon pages of lord and notes for my world.
It works great, and the folder organization is something I wanted, which is rarer and rarer on mobile The one thing I wish could be fixed is how janky the fast scroll bar is (the press-and-hold the scroll bar feature), as it drops you wherever after around a second of holding the bar
After trying many other alternatives, I was very happy to settle with Obsidian. It's very versatile and has a rich plugin ecosystem for even more customizations. I use Obsidian for note-taking (both personal and classwork), project todo tracking, and general "knowledge-gathering".
Incredible writing app. Just amazing. Powerful notes/writing tool. Impeccable and absolutely essential to anyone who prefers markdown or daily notes. Fantastic alternative to Bear. My only critique is it seriously lacks iOS Widgets capabilities. Otherwise a pristine choice for writing.
Obsidian is an awesome note taking and second brain app for desktop. It has excellent cross device sync and a wealth of plugins. The downside is the mobile app is not integrated into mobile os. The ux is clunky html and there are close to zero integrations with native features like multiwindowing, no shortcuts integration and poor default in app navigation ux. The Craft app blows the UX away and then some. For device based scenarios I’ve repeatedly tried obsidian mobile and end up using craft
This tool can help you be a better human.
Who wouldn't like an app that saves all your files locally in markdown and is not only user friendly but filled with powerful efficiently improvements? A+
This is an exceptional app and the best in my opinion.
The new UI is clean, minimal and simple. My biggest gripe with the mobile app was the initial design. Now the app is easy and simple to use. Beautiful job!
I used vscode to create markdown files to manage everything from my TODO list to snippets. I also wrote some tasks to help with my workflow but then I found Obsidian! I am blown away! It has every feature I want and more. So cool!
Great application! I love the Desktop and Android apps, and this one doesn't disappointing either (I was expecting plugin limitations, but that's not really the case!). I’m looking forward to the Canvas feature on iPhone!
Love this as a second brain. Speedy. Search is almost limitless!!! Hallelujah! No complaints after I watched many you tube videos to learn how to use it. Thank you developers
amazing amazing app with no price or data collection. props to you.
功能强大,而且具有十分人性化的自定义功能,加上插件社区,简直是一款完美的产品。其本地化的特性,在数据安全上比notion要靠谱很多。
ipadair2 ios13下编辑模式,无序列表的点显示不正常,很靠上
Your hard works is noticed and greatly appreciated!
Secure notes that sync with iCloud. Support for markdown and the rich community of plugins takes note taking to the next level. For software developers this is the best app for an engineering notebook.
Highly modular, customizable, and non linear. It’s really like a sandbox for your thoughts and writing. With community plugins, this app can be modified to complement any style of productivity and workflow. Works equally across iphone, ipad, macbook, and this icloud sync is just perfect
I use this app to manage all tasks and notes because its search results show matching lines (so a note can contain tagged tasks in context) and its cloud sync is encrypted end-to-end. Thank you, developer!
I do a lot of work professionally with knowledge graphs and other types of advance data storage techniques. I’ve always wanted a mix of some thing that has the graph capability of Neo4J and the ability for me to quickly create notes. My new favorite app
Obsidian + Things 3 is the perfect second brain for me. I use Obsidian all day long for work and personal notes, ideas, and pretty much anything else. The cross-platform syncing is superb (I use iCloud for sync). I also have a few plugins for things like Matter, a reading app, which work perfectly. The keyboard shortcuts are invaluable. I literally can’t say enough good things about Obsidian. So thankful for the developers’ hard work on a truly outstanding app.
I like writing on here (gestures toward the keyboard, the app).
I love obsedian! Would love it more if the app supported the iPhone 13 Pro’s 120hz display!
Can’t type any regular text underneath a callout without it automatically being put into the callout, forcing me to skip an extra line.
Hi i like the concept but there is a issue. VoiceOver does not work with all of the buttons. I know it’s a bit short but writing for me takes a lot of effort. It’s not exactly easy for me to write things as a partially deaf blind person. You probably can tell by my spelling and grammarr. Anyway please fix this. A lot of the app is not accessible to me because of the voice over issue. Hope you all have a great day and keep on learning.
The app is almost perfect. i only need to be able to link when seeing my docs on github. Other then that is a non invasive app, wonderfull
I don’t see how in the event I lose my device and am not syncing my notes that I am able to recover my notes. This is a huge lack, a recovery phrase would be nice or some sort of encryption recovery practices.
Maybe best in class and still improve
The bottom bar is still there when connecting to a external keyboard, it’s just not black anymore, please fix it!
