10 Positive User Reviews for Opal: Screen Time for Focus

Attn Opal Developer

There needs to be a way to distinguish between active screen time and passive. For example: listening to audio from YouTube or another app where the screen is on. Also since many companies demand the use of phone apps- there needs to be a way to categorize productive screen time vs not productive. If the point of the app is to get people not to use their phones—- then speak with the corporate “overlords” who make doing anything require an app

Great App, but the MacOs version def needs some work

The app is amazing on phone and has definitely helped me to lower my screen time and focus better when I’m studying. That being said, the MacBook version of this app def needs some work.

So helpful

Genuinely have been off my phone for so long. This is helping me a lot.

.

Worth it, paying is optional and you can control how much restriction you want, has helped me save hours

5/5

The best. Life changing . Habit changing .

Where to find sounds?

I really enjoy the app, it’s saved me a lot of time and helped in more ways than one, I just wish I could listen to the white noise that plays when you choose to take a break, but I can’t find it anywhere. I specifically enjoy the one in the fjord with the faraway water sounds, but I can only listen to it when I’m opting to take a break, and even then I can’t listen to it for long.

Great app, bad paywall

I love opal and it’s helped me a ton with my screen time. However, I do the payment wall is a little frustrating. You can’t “allow” certain apps unless you pay and you can’t do the “ultimate” block unless you pay. This app is a decent amount more expensive than others for similar features, so I’m considering switching.

Device distraction? you already knew it was bad but it's probably worse than you think.

I'm finding it particularly useful because it makes facing the time we waste with the distraction rectangle unavoidable. It looks silly at first, but I'm finding it to be very well thought out.

Saved my life

Seriously, almost 3 years in and it’s still one of the greatest most HELPFUL apps I’ve ever used

Productivity saver

I block my social apps during work hours and at night. I can always take breaks but it makes me more mindful of the amount of time these apps take from me. I love this app & the gemstone awards make me feel good too☺️
