OpenSnow: Weather Forecast App Reviews

First time subscriber and I spent the season working at Aspen Mountain. I used the App frequently to share data with guests, which I found more accurate than any “weather” App. I mostly used the forecasting info and appreciated all the a-bit-nerdy technical research used to compile the information.

For the past 3 winters this app has been my go to and it has shut down every other weather app I used. Nothing even comes close to the accuracy, precision, and ease of use. Gone are the days of weather apps being unreliable! Don’t think twice, if you’re going into an area where relying on accurate weather data is important, this app is critical!

The OpenSnow app is an incredible tool for planning trips, chasing powder during ski season, researching in the offseason and more. The volume of information and data, accuracy, and ease of use are second to none. The ability to set favorites, check recent totals, check forecasts, sort resorts by pass type (e.g. Epic resorts), etc. are very easy and intuitive. If you spend any time outdoors, you’re missing out if you don’t have this app!

Extremely accurate and detailed forecasts. Nice to review season snow accumulation to the average and highest years. Joel, Sam and the team have a true passion for skiing and helping all powder junkies.

Love Open Snow please keep running it even though CBMR is closed. We still go outside! I do Love Open Snow.

Any time I need to know how bad this next storm is going to be, I check with Open Snow. My husband will check his weather app, and I’ll say “Wait, let’s check Open Snow first”. And Open Snow ends up being the more accurate site after the storm has passed. It’s specific for your area and elevation. Thanks for being reliable.

This is my 'Go-To' app for the best updates on snow conditions, weather forecasts, and links to web cams and other helpful info. I highly recommend the 'All-Access' version!

OpenSnow is a phenomenal weather app, including the backcountry. Support is immediate and effective.

I knew this app would be great when they didn’t ask for a credit card for the free trial period. Most sites try to get you to “forget to cancel” trial subscriptions, but OpenSnow was instead confident enough to know that once you see the product, you’ll love it. And I do. Very detailed forecasts, easy to use, reliable. Way to go, OpenSnow!!!

OpenSnow is the only app I trust for mountain weather and information … regardless of the season. You can’t do better.

The Colorado forecaster Joel Gratz, does an amazing job with his forecasts, narratives and models! I use the app for both work and play… but when it’s for work, this is critical information. We run an EMS service in the remote township of Gunnison, CO. Getting the weather right for the sake of public and responder safety is paramount. We couldn’t do that without Open Snow‘s exceptional service!

Open Snow is the real deal. The forecasters do their homework so you don’t have to. They summarize all the models and give you a concise summary of what to expect and why. This is awesome if you ski and play outdoors but also very valuable for travel planning, from an outdoor adventure to driving across the country. So much more informative than all the other weather and snow apps out there. Thank you and keep your tips up!

I love yall and will continue subscribing, but I’m sad the widgets are broken on my new iPhone! Tried reinstalling the app, still broken. They render really weird, like with grey boxes where all the content should be.
