Great offline maps for use worldwide
I love this maps app. A necessity when your device is cellular challenged and always a joy.
Awesome MAPS.ME Replacement!!
MAPS.ME started charging money and has kept increasing the subscription fee. Then their app had bugs recognizing my subscription and I came across Organic Maps online. Major kudos to the developers for making this free again. Exported all my bookmarks from MAPS.ME and imported to Organic, then promptly deleted MAPS.ME and donated to Organic to help fund their development. Long live open source maps!
So far so good
More stable than OMS with better UI, using it in Venice which has lots of little backroads. I’ll update as I use it
Update: after the end of our trip in Italy, I can officially say it was quite useful. Was great anywhere there was no internet, even if you were on route to somewhere it could keep track. And I don’t mean one bar, I mean no internet I was able to use it hiking when USA cell providers international abilities were completely down.
TLDR. Amazing anywhere your primary map won’t work
Awesome reboot of the original maps.me.
This app supports gpx and has built in topo contours. It’s constantly getting new features.
I wish the app had support for forcing roads to be shown at low zoom levels (for viewing small roads and paths that are spread out over a larger area only viewable at once by zooming out a lot but right now the roads disappears if zoomed out too much).
Also if users could import/export with a built in http web server and overlay GeoTIF/GeoPDF that would make it much easier to transfer gpx and data files
Excellent!
Thank you for creating this app! We are using it for for our third trek through the European Alps backpacking. The app is so convenient for navigating specially without cell service.
Perfect Offline Maps App! Better than Maps.me
I love everything about this app and it’s perfect for traveling.
A suggestion for the devs. I want to start using this app to navigate on a bike (the normal bike routing apps are full of trackers), however the fastest route isn’t always the safest. I would LOVE to see an option for “drawing” a route to take on bike. An option to save those pre-made routes would be even better, but this feature would have me using organic maps literally every day
An outstanding alternative to Maps.ME
I’m a former user of Maps.ME. The app was great until they decided to infest it with ads, unnecessary and crappy integrations, and most of all, REQUIRING USERS TO PAY MONEY TO DOWNLOAD MAPS… THAT THEY DIDN’T MAKE!!
I’m grateful for Organic maps. The app doesn’t have any clutter and just… shows me maps. No subscriptions, no stupid limits/stealing open source work, just a great OpenStreetMap client.
Organic Maps devs, thank you so much for your hard work. To readers curious about the app, if yo
Promising maps app
I love the lightweight nature of the maps app, looking forward to incorporating this into my day to day use and replace this as my default maps app!
One request for the app would be to include support for navigation using light rail systems as the app only has support for subway systems.
More complete than Apple Maps
A lot of hiking trails, bike paths and businesses have been taken out of Apple, and since then this app is where I’m at. I wish there was access to a massive “config.txt” to micromanage the layout.
Best alternative to MAPS.me
It’s exactly what MAPS.me was before they started showing ads, asking for subscriptions, and bloating it with features that weren’t wanted or asked for.
Good stuff, detailed and easy to use
Like the detailed maps, easy to use
Awesome App!
Used Maps.me for years until they began charging you. Fell in love with that app iver the years of travel.
Now we have Organic Maps and my world is complete! Thanks to all at Organic Maps!!!!

Inaccurate house numbers!
In rural areas. I can't figure how to report this on OpenStreet's web site. :(
