Privacy focused, good for hiking, biking or driving, works on CarPlay. Don’t want to get tracked? Get this app.
Overall app is good very useful but in pakistan like near my house alot of things have been built like petrol pump and banks etc but its no visible on this app so i was thinking i iam in a new area and want to go to a bank than maybe the near bank has been recently built but the app will not detect it and it will show me bank which is 6m away like wasting my time so ill hope you will add more details
Would you mind add bus data?
if you're a person that grew up using physical maps, this program is what you want, to transition you to the modern era. You can use it without a cell signal, simply gps, and since the phone and computational algorithms are stored offline …you can dynamically change your route without long " recalculating" nonsense. Takes up very little hard space. just download the city, state, region maps you want when you have a connection. Review the route beforehand and you're golden golden. Also has t
Overall, I think this is a lightweight app that closely mimics Google Maps. Search is a little trial and error so far, but I’m liking that it is pretty feature rich and the CarPlay app isn’t a paid feature. I’d love to see more specific lane guidance for driving directions, stop signs on the map, and freeway badges rather than just the numbers.
See above. No more google maps tracking my movements, no more Apple Maps eating my data
Needs option for sunrise/sunset, or an easily accessed button. The auto setting follows the device, which I have always dark, but a dark map during the day is unusable. -- Needs a share input option as a workaround for which map app so I could highlight an address and share to Organic Maps.
Love having an alternative that uses OSM
Hi, Since the update I cannot select route mode now, by default it only shows walking route, hope this could be fixed. Thanks
Used the maps in Albania and Kosovo. Could find even obscure trails and places. Could locate banks and ATMS in villages. No disappointments.
A fantastic app for all travelers as it is powered by GPS. Download maps on WIFI then use when you arrive!
Excellent open source ma that runs on open street maps. Really good alternative.
the app is great, thank you
I love this maps app. A necessity when your device is cellular challenged and always a joy.
MAPS.ME started charging money and has kept increasing the subscription fee. Then their app had bugs recognizing my subscription and I came across Organic Maps online. Major kudos to the developers for making this free again. Exported all my bookmarks from MAPS.ME and imported to Organic, then promptly deleted MAPS.ME and donated to Organic to help fund their development. Long live open source maps!
More stable than OMS with better UI, using it in Venice which has lots of little backroads. I’ll update as I use it Update: after the end of our trip in Italy, I can officially say it was quite useful. Was great anywhere there was no internet, even if you were on route to somewhere it could keep track. And I don’t mean one bar, I mean no internet I was able to use it hiking when USA cell providers international abilities were completely down. TLDR. Amazing anywhere your primary map won’t work
This app supports gpx and has built in topo contours. It’s constantly getting new features. I wish the app had support for forcing roads to be shown at low zoom levels (for viewing small roads and paths that are spread out over a larger area only viewable at once by zooming out a lot but right now the roads disappears if zoomed out too much). Also if users could import/export with a built in http web server and overlay GeoTIF/GeoPDF that would make it much easier to transfer gpx and data files
Thank you for creating this app! We are using it for for our third trek through the European Alps backpacking. The app is so convenient for navigating specially without cell service.
I love everything about this app and it’s perfect for traveling. A suggestion for the devs. I want to start using this app to navigate on a bike (the normal bike routing apps are full of trackers), however the fastest route isn’t always the safest. I would LOVE to see an option for “drawing” a route to take on bike. An option to save those pre-made routes would be even better, but this feature would have me using organic maps literally every day
I’m a former user of Maps.ME. The app was great until they decided to infest it with ads, unnecessary and crappy integrations, and most of all, REQUIRING USERS TO PAY MONEY TO DOWNLOAD MAPS… THAT THEY DIDN’T MAKE!! I’m grateful for Organic maps. The app doesn’t have any clutter and just… shows me maps. No subscriptions, no stupid limits/stealing open source work, just a great OpenStreetMap client. Organic Maps devs, thank you so much for your hard work. To readers curious about the app, if yo
I love the lightweight nature of the maps app, looking forward to incorporating this into my day to day use and replace this as my default maps app! One request for the app would be to include support for navigation using light rail systems as the app only has support for subway systems.
A lot of hiking trails, bike paths and businesses have been taken out of Apple, and since then this app is where I’m at. I wish there was access to a massive “config.txt” to micromanage the layout.
It’s exactly what MAPS.me was before they started showing ads, asking for subscriptions, and bloating it with features that weren’t wanted or asked for.
Like the detailed maps, easy to use
Used Maps.me for years until they began charging you. Fell in love with that app iver the years of travel. Now we have Organic Maps and my world is complete! Thanks to all at Organic Maps!!!!
i enjoy this app. also, please keep doing the detailed release notes - they are very helpful!

I wasn't able to download any maps. And I have plenty of storage on my phone.
In rural areas. I can't figure how to report this on OpenStreet's web site. :(
