12 Positive User Reviews for Outdooractive

More should be included with Pro

Particularly the ability to create a 3D video of the routes, but app is otherwise solid

Great app.

Allows me to track my training.

Love the app, with possibilities to download .gpx files

Great app, especially because you can download .gpx files to use in other navigation assets, like Garmin.

Easy Mapping

Easy to map your own route. Best app so far for it. Recording tracks is fairly accurate.

Great for outdoor

I’ve been usong ViewRanger for a while. At the begining, switching to outdooractive was not so easy. But day by day, I finally discover some tipe to make the app useful for outdoor activities. Congrats to all your team!

Worth It

The free trial won me over. I expected to cancel at the end of 30 days, but this app is so valuable that I renewed after just two weeks. The app is indispensable - saves me from wasting time on the trails. I can plot a route at the trailhead just by touching the map where I want to go. It’s remarkably easy to use and very reliable.

So far…

I’m loving the route maker!

Best Outdoor Planning Resource Available

The depth and breadth of this resource for outdoor enthusiasts traveling the work is unmatched! Excellent! Thank you!

Sharing all points

I’d like to share all my point into another app such as map sources for example. How can I do it? Thanks

3 Negative User Reviews for Outdooractive

nope

Viewranger was perfect the way it was. I can’t find those capabilities in this app; this feels like a bait and switch. Am not signing up for the subscription model, especially at these prices,

Buggy - won’t recognise eligible tracks

Been using ODA for over a year and at the start of 2026 I was looking forward to the new challenges but immediately the app fails to recognise eligible hiking tracks, even leave the challenge and rejoining the challenge does not help when neither tracks are then recognised unlike last year when challenges took seconds to recognise eligible tracks regardless of when you’ve joined the challenge.

Subscription subscription subscription

Eeeeeeeeeeevery app wants 9 million dollars a month now for their stupid app. Like this… outdoor junk - maybe 10 dollars a done… at most! Come on greedy people… enough already. Yeesh!!!
