27 Positive User Reviews for Ovia Pregnancy & Baby Tracker

Good app but customization and feedback tool missing

I like this app. It has a lot of easily accessible information. However, I would like to see a feature that requests my feedback on articles and information tidbits that are shared. I sometimes dislike what is presented or disagree because I can see the biases in the content. I sometimes like the information and find it informative. Why not ask the users for our feedback?

Get this app!

Love love love this app it helps me keep track of my pregnancies! This is my second time using this app !

SSL ERROR

Everyday when I go to log my symptoms and my vitamins I get this error and it doesn’t let me do anything. This is starting to get annoying

Great app but daily weight notifications are crazy

I love everything about this app except the fact that every single day you are prompted to weigh yourself and enter your weight. It is so obnoxious and also arguably unhealthy (especially for some women who have triggers regarding their body/weight) and clinically not even advisable to weigh yourself every single day. They absolutely have to either cut down the notifications or minimally (preferably) allow users to opt out of the weight tracking.

Things that make you go hmm?

I love the app but I wish they would stop using “pregnant folks” curious why the word woman isn’t being used.

I’m a woman, not “folks”

I get it, you’re trying to be inclusive. But there must be a way to personalize these articles better? I’m sick of being called “folks” everywhere I go. I love being a women, and I want to be called a woman, and I would guess that the majority of users agree with me other than a small minority. Please figure out a way to customize this experience in a way that doesn’t make women feel erased.

Love it but

Love the app. Some of the little tidbits of the day are repetitive. I’ve noticed they post some of the baby development twice.

Good app… when it actually works.

I enjoy this app for a lot of the functions and knowledge I can gain from it. This is the second pregnancy I’m using the app to track. BUT the app has errors at least once a week where I am not able to open the app past the loading screen. It says “SSL error, try again” and it keeps popping up and will not stop until I close out of the app an try again the next day. It happens almost daily which is really frustrating. I tried contacting app support but haven’t gotten anywhere. The app is great

Download

I wish there was more stars to rate with. Hands down best pregnancy app. So knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. You won’t need to look any where else.

Loved!!

Kept me sane during the ups and downs of pregnancy!! The updates were amazing and the articles provided were so useful in preparing myself.

Love the app - worst baby size comparisons

Love this app, the daily updates, and helpful articles. The one star deduction is because the baby size “themes” are absolutely horrible - meaning all of the size comparisons are subjective and not standard sized items. I really think this needs to be more tailored to items we all commonly know. Everyone knows how incredibly varied the size of a fruit, vegetable or “water bottle” is. Also, for having the spot for selecting gender and whether you’re having one or multiple babies, no effort was ma

Basic, good for "cute" size tracking

I love the size tracking, but feel it lacks in other areas. I feel like I scroll through a lot of ads or things that aren't super interesting to me. I also wonder how often they actually update it- some medications for example are not up to date (...tums are category c?). And some of the comments/discussions in the community feature are still there from my previous pregnancy 5 years ago. A bit odd.

Great App; wish for more apple health integrations

This is one of the only apps I found that integrates with Apple Health, but for some reason it only syncs blood pressure! I’d love if it would sync things like weight, activity, steps, sleep, BBT, water, nutrition too! I track those with other apps and devices and it’s a pain to transfer over every day. I also have the Bump and I love that that app has a calendar integration and checklist week by week. I wish Ovia had something similar so I only had to use one app. Otherwise, I love this app.

A great app - tone down pump advertisements

Overall, this is a great app - I just wish I could opt out or tone down the barrage of advertisements about pumps. It seems like every 3rd article/item on the home page is about pumps and I have received multiple emails about it. I’m a breast cancer survivor and post-double mastectomy, physically I cannot breast feed or pump, which is emotionally devastating to me. Every time I open the app it’s in my face. I know I’m the exception rather than the rule, but as a feature enhancement it would be

Please Add

I liked the Ovia Pregnancy app until I found out I was carrying twins. The app was difficult to figure out how (if it is possible) to add I was pregnant with twins. Ultimately I couldn’t figure it out and I started using another app. I did like the articles Ovia would send and the information was resourceful. If you add the option for twin pregnancy the app would be more user friendly.

Easy to use and cute

The app is nice and easy to use. I mainly used the food search, the bump photos and what size is baby this week. I wish there were a way to compile all the bump photos taken into a slideshow or something, that’s my only gripe.

Seems Great!

I appreciate that this app doesn’t talk to me like I am the child growing in my uterus, like other apps do. I appreciate the symptom tracker too. One thing I’d like which is SUPER simple is notations for when 2nd, 3rd trimesters and full term hit on the calendar. I added my own but they just show as a blue note dot. I wish this was clearer.

Awesome app

So easy to use and yet super comprehensive!

can’t add photos

suddenly unable to add photos to bump tracker

Ads ruin the experience

I would gladly pay for an ad free version of this app but it doesn’t exist.

Loaded with Weight “Warnings”

Every other time I open the app there is some kind of warning about weight. There are so many other elements to a healthy body and this app heavily tips into fat shaming early on.

Best App!

I have tried multiple apps but Ovia is the best! I love how detailed Ovia is with the development of my baby, especially since I’m a first time mom. I am a healthcare worker and I appreciate how accurate Ovia is with each development process. The only thing that I don’t like about Ovia is that it doesn’t have a widget that allows me to see the size of my baby.

Log weight

I love everything about the app. The only thing I would change is logging weight. For most people it’s fine to remind them to log weight throughout the pregnancy but there should be an option to opt out of the reminders. For some of us, it’s healthier not to log or be reminded of the weight gain.

Amazing app!

I absolutely love using this app. This is the only app out of four apps that I am happy with and it covers everything I need for information on pregnancy. :)

3 Negative User Reviews for Ovia Pregnancy & Baby Tracker

Frustrating

My first pregnancy 5 years ago this was the best app! However I noticed with my last pregnancy “birthing person” “pregnant folks”… and it seems to be even more. Mother and women aren’t bad words, they aren’t inaccurate words. I appreciate inclusion, but not above accuracy or when it belittles women. I’m annoyed to have a different app now for a subsequent pregnancy, but Ovia hasn’t had enough improvements to keep up with its competitors and I don’t appreciate the anti-feminist approach.

Second baby blues

I used this app for my first pregnancy, and it was great, but apparently if you use it once you can’t use it again. I’m now pregnant again and it won’t let me use it with the same email.

Good app for community, bad for privacy

It’s nice for asking other pregnant women questions but I hope no one is actually answering all the questions they ask you on that app. They don’t need to know my relationship status or if I’m staying home after the baby is born or if I’ve had a previous miscarriage. I’d ask myself what the purpose of Ovia asking so much personal info is and if I really wanted them to have it before answering anything on this app
