This was a problem with the previous version. AI is allowed to use proper nouns such as Ralph. Also I used pawn and game said it was an invalid word.

After really enjoying playing solo, I talked my wife into getting this app so we could play against each other. Rather than the engaging experience from the solo game, where I could watch every move my AI opponents would make, as they made them - multiplayer just pops up a plain text message “your opponent is making a move” and you wait, bored, until they finish. Thought it was going to be fun, instead it was dull. What a wasted opportunity.

The new graphics and letter fonts are terrible and don’t even fit on the card! It makes it really tough to see. Bring back the old fonts!

I love the game. One of my favorites. Not sure why the graphics had to change with the latest update. Difficult to read. Looks cartoonish. At least give us the option of using the original fonts, etc.

I play the co-op game solo a lot, but recently it started randomly getting itself into a freeze state where the only way I have found to get out is to quit the app and then start a new game. (There was a different freeze it used to do that you could get out of by quitting and restarting, but that didn’t work with the new behavior.) It’s super frustrating when you are doing well and then it hangs.

I enjoy playing especially against the game character but after the last update I can’t get past the game character playing a word then it freezes. Tried reloading the game and now I can’t even play against the game. Sadness….

The balloon fonts have made this game unplayable. Some don’t even fit in the card. The option ‘vol 1 font’ controls this? But can’t turn it off. Update; I contacted support about the font and not long after he made a change and the font issue was fixed. It’s back to being playable and I’ve changed my rating to reflect.

The game’s vocabulary filter needs some tweaking. While it invalidates a lot of legitimate, non-offensive words, it permits a host of offensive terms related to racial and ethnic groups (e.g., the verb “jew,” and the nouns “yid,” “honkeys,” and “orientals”).

Updated from previous review Still a great game! Cards that double adjacent card value: doesn’t double card value if previous card in word is selected. I don’t normally use these cards anyway but the AI does so it’s actually a beneficial bug for me. The AI doesn’t really use the F and Z cards that reduce novel values to their fullest extent. Which again benefits me. The AI leaves a wild in it’s hand when it could use it as an “s” and capture the common vowel.

Review from 5-15-23: score 5/5 The issues have been fixed it seems and no longer is unplayable with a broken frame rate. Seems to run well again. Review from 5-10-23: score 3/5 Game is broken. Animations move at a snails pace. What did you change with the most recent update? Literally unplayable. It used to go 60fps now chugs around 10-15 fps. And this is on an iPhone 13 Pro. Was working perfectly fine before the update. Please fix. Great game otherwise. Would be rated 4-5 if not for the terrib

My game won’t deal me a second hand any more. I even jninstalled and reinstalled. Full rules would be nice too e.g. what is a “typo”?

Easy to play and a little bit different than the tabletop game. Very well done.

The AI still gets tripped up with “triple the score of an adjacent card.” The app just freezes. That’s a disappointing bug in an otherwise fun and challenging game.

The game is 5 stars in concept. Brilliant! Daily, the program freezes unpredictably on AI opponent “finding a word.” AI makes ridiculous fame card buying choices in coop mode, regardless of level of AI. If you set three AI to play against each other, an error occurs in every other game. Glitches are too everpresent for such a good game. I’ll revisit this rating if new versions fix things

The game will freeze on buying phase for AI, or finding word. This takes you out so much it becomes annoying. You think for the amount of money they charge they could get a programmer to fix such a glitch. Otherwise it’s a great game. Please update and fix this.

Constantly freezes and can’t turn on vol 1 cards. Used to work fine till the update.

Release from 2024 (October?) changed the look, which was bad, but also about 60% of the games against the AI now hang and you lose your progress and have to restart. I reported to the company directly but they don’t seem to care. The November update did not help. Just avoid this app unless you see a fix.
