14 Positive User Reviews for Par Timer Pro: Shooting Timer

Not quite perfect

I just got the app but immediately noticed two obvious features that are missing: 1. It needs the option of configuring different tones for the START and STOP/PAR signal. When practicing something repeatedly without looking at the screen and just using audio cues, it is easy to get out of sync and mistakingly starting on the STOP/PAR signal because they sound the same. 2. It needs the option of disabling the screen lock so the phone doesn’t dim and then lock. Update: Both features have been imp

Not counting actual shot time

It's a great app for training, but it is kinda misleading. I didn't read the small note at the end of description and I thought it would track shots using microphone or motion. It just makes beep sounds, nothing more. I wouldn't have paid for this app if I had read that. It is a good app despite that, deserves 4 stars. But it would be #1 app if it had microphone support.

Works for me!

Wasn’t looking for anything fancy. I already have a competition timer for range use, but I don’t always have it with me. I wanted a basic app with a Par Timer. This app lets me set the Par time to within 1/10th of a second. It also lets me choose a random start time and I get a 2nd beep when the Par Time runs out. I use it for dry firing drills indoors (no ammo in the dry firing room). 👍🏻 💥💥💥💥💥

Great app but misleading

This app is great if you have someone calling out your times, but it’s missing a key feature. An actual shot tracker. I assumed it would use my microphone to time my shots but it’s really just a stopwatch. Wouldn’t have paid for it if I knew that ahead of time. Not worth $4.

Needs a way to set reps

The loop function is a step in the right direction. Have the ability to set the loop to end after say 10 repetitions would be great. Having the ability to set those reps and work up to a smaller par time would also be very beneficial for those wanting to do those extra steps for improvement.

Fantastic

If you want to practice your draws, this is the app to have, it has helped me improve so much. I cannot recommend it enough

Great app for practicing at home

Awesome! I almost spent more than a hundred bucks on a shot timer just for par timing. Glad I found this app. It is simple to use and the GUI is well designed. It has tons of beeps/tones you can choose from. This is perfect for practicing your draws at home. Just note, this app will not replace a physical shot timer, it’s a Par Timer, duh!

Love it

I shoot at an indoor range, so a normal shot timer is out of the question for me, because it would just pick up the shots around me. I’ve been using this for about a month and I’m very pleased with it. If I could suggest a change, it would be the option to edit the standby time.

Works great!

It does what I need to do to practice drawing my weapon, and gives nice indicator sounds when to do so.

Very useful for at-home dry firing

The app does what it does well. The other par timer app on here that costs .99 doesn’t do as much. This has a repeat function and multiple standby times. Clean UI. I use it with a Rhino laser for first shot draws and it’s perfect for that purpose. I have one request though: it would be really useful to have a feature where I could go through the automatic start for a set amount of times. So I could know how many reps I’ve completed. UPDATE: the developers added a rep counter to the app, it works

Basic timer, but works well for my needs

Needed a simple way to see if l can beat various time limits, with a random start. This does exactly that and I never needed another ap.

Shooting app

Amazing shooting app

Quick and easy.

I’ve got all the training apps, paid & free. But this is the one I come back to most. Quick and simple. Easy GUI. Ample adjustments available without getting you bogged down in details that pull you away from training. Note: This app only provides a metric by which to judge whether or not you are reaching specific objectives within a par time determined by you. Then allows you to crank up the heat, to challenge yourself to meet those goals a hair faster. It does that exceedingly well, but you w
