I use different apps for learning Hebrew but this has been the most helpful one

This is even better than the website!! This is my dictionary and grammar book all in one. I can’t express how much I love this app!!!

Most Hebrew students have to dig through dog-eared copies of 201 or 501 Hebrew Verbs only to find that the one they need is missing—or it’s there but they can find it because they don’t already recognize a form of it as belonging to it and thus can’t find it. If they do find it, they need a magnifying glass to decipher it, and many of the books don’t explain the layout of their pages. And then there’s all those times you don’t happen to have the frustrating book on hand. No more! This app solves

This is a truly excellent reference app. I'd tried an array of Hebrew dictionaries from the app store, and each left me wanting. Really, I was surprised by the surfeit of inaccuracy and inconsistency I encountered. Imagine my satisfaction and delight at encountering this application that is not only an excellent dictionary in general, but one that can handle most any verb form and provides a list of related words at the bottom of each entry! Easy to look things up on the tables, layout the relationships between words and roots. I use this app all the time studying Hebrew.

I’ve been using Pealim for years, told many students in Ulpan about it and overall enjoy the app. My only wish is that you incorporate the ability to speak the verb so I don’t have to always write. I know it sounds trivial, but when I’m studying it often breaks my rhythm when I get out Pealim and type out the word. I started learning Hebrew 2 years ago and this app has been so helpful. I can create favorites and review any time. This is the first tool I onto when I need help

What a convenient well-thought app. Invaluable and user friendly

You can get Reverso Hebrew for nothing on line and you can speak a phrase of Hebrew into it and have a translated —but this particular application is so extremely limited to just a word. For $15 this application is a joke. I want my money back!

Learning Hebrew and find myself constantly reaching for Pealim. An essential study tool that functions very well. Don’t normally write reviews, but I highly recommend this app. 👍

Enormously comprehensive and useful resource. Better than most grammar books.

Love this so much. Would be 6/5 stars if (1) you can move/drag around your favorites so you can put similar verbs and words together and (2) there were example sentences with each verb!

The best here! Why can't all languages have such a useful, elegant and comprehensive resource? To make it even better, consider adding: 1) example sentences in Hebrew to clarify the contextual use 2) the complementary preposition used with each Hebrew verb (eg לגעת ב, לעלות על) 3) possibility to reviews "Favorites" in flashcard format

I’ve been looking on the Internet for these Hebrew forms specifically and I couldn’t find anything like Pealim. This is so helpful for me on my journey learning Hebrew. Thanks to all the devs behind this app, you’re amazing!

My favorite (and most used) feature of the website is the ability to look at lists of words that share the same mishqal! Can that feature be added to the app? למה אין אופציה לראות רשימת מילים שלהן יש את אותו המשקל?

Other translators may be enough for single word searches, but Pealim is a Hebrew-first tool that breaks down verbs by all conjugations. Searching the root letters also makes it easy to find related words in different verb structures. The only feature it’s lacking is audio to hear pronunciation, but there are other free tools that can take care of that.

Very helpful. You can type the word in Hebrew or in transliterated English to get a definition. Great for conjugating verbs. At the bottom of each entry is a list of other words with the same shoresh which is incredibly helpful. I never pay for apps but this one is worth every penny.

I love this app and use it often. I have encountered zero bugs. My only suggestion to the developer—and I know it would be a lot of work—would be to include sample sentences with each word, if that’s possible. To show how the word is used in a sentence.

Can you add font size increase option and split screen? It’s getting harder to read small print. Thank you

This is an excellent app and one that I use daily. I wish that I could turn nikkud (vowels) off, but otherwise it is fantastic.

I’ve wanted a reference like this for my study for years, I can’t believe I didn’t find it until now! Wonderful reference, beautifully crafted! I’d love to see an iPad native version someday but mostly I’m just so happy that this exists and has been so well put together!

Best Hebrew dictionary I’ve used. A little light on slang, some nouns and adjectives missing, but the structure and accuracy for verbs is incredible. Worth the price by far.

Finally a beautiful, clean, application that just simply works! I love how clean the interface is which just the information that’s needed and no more. Also simply having the Hebrew pronouns on the side instead of “First Person Singular” or jargon like that really helps stay “in the language” and is much faster and less distracting. Keep up the awesome work!

Perfect execution of Hebrew word lookup. It is a simple app that does only exactly what it is supposed to do, and does it extremely well. If I was to suggest an improvement, it would be nice to be able to rearrange favorites. Cheers

Very pleased with this app. Initially I thought it only contains verbs and that alone would have been enough; I was very impressed to see that it has other vocabulary elements (nouns etc) as well. Well done!
