Planes with PhotoPills and everything worked as planned. Awesome app.

I am an avid Astro photographer and this app is an important part of my planning process. It allows me to plan my images, months in advance, anywhere in the world. Along with that planning tool comes support. Webinars, emails and tutorials have all helped me become a better photographer. It’s the best money I’ve spent for one of my photographic tools.

Love the design and application

The number of things this program will do is amazing. If it has any flaw, all of those tools, it can be a little daunting to learn. however, if you pick one function learn that, then pick a second function and so on, you will find it be one of the most useful apps on your phone.

So far this app has been great. One minor change for the Timelapse tool is to change it to delay between shots and the duration of the exposure instead of adding both in the tool. My intervalometer has the delay and exposure time separate which works great and it's intuitive. Also add to your list the best exposure time for Milky Way pictures based on your camera, lens, and f stop plus iso settings. Maybe it's there but did not see it since I'm a new user of the app.

Hands down best tool for photographers. Don’t know what I would do without it.

I am planning to attempt a time lapse series of photographs of the annular solar eclipse on October 14, 2023. PhotoPills is a fantastic app to do the planning I need to do. Plus the PhotoPills folks have an excellent (and free) 125 page pdf to show all you need to know. What an excellent app and customer support. Thank you.

You guys should add a light pollution overlay on the satellite images as an option, so that it’s all incorporated into planning as well! Would be a great feature to add -Josh

I’m usually lazy about writing reviews but photopills ?? Holy shoot!! Most ingenious app ever! I don’t think I can ever plan landscape or Astrophotography without it anymore. Would have bought it even if it was 50 times the price! Huge respect behind every one that worked to make this app exist!! Chapeau !!!

Awesome app. It’d be amazing if they can add dark spot map on the app as well.

I am amazed at the amount of detail and depth this app provides. Since switching to PhotoPills and learning through the Academy my night shots have improved dramatically!! Extremely easy use!!!

This app has helped me improve as an amateur photographer. Not only does this app help with planning, it helps you get a better grasp of the fundamentals of photography. Take your time, learn one aspect at a time. I started with planning moon photos; rise and set. The. Sunrise and sunset. I then moved to star trails. Meteors are next. Thank you PhotoPills.

I didn’t know how great photographers got the unique composition until I learned about PhotoPills

I don’t think on the entire Apple store, there are lots of apps that are not only well done but hyper technical and well designed as this. I have nearly 700 apps and the only equivalent is some astronomy, physics and about the human body apps that compare to this. $10 is ridiculously cheap to own this app ! Even photographers that aren’t going to use 80% of this app, its still worth it for that 20% its really really good -

This app has everything tool you would need. One thing i wish it had was a panoroma pill that could calculate how many images, columns and rows you would have to photograph for a panorama depending on the planned field of view, overlap and focal length

Im not sure if I had to pay for this app, but if I did it’s worth every penny . It’s a app that’s recommended by many other developers.

This is an essential tool for any photographer that wants to get to the right place at the right time to photograph the night sky or simply to align celestial objects to the composition of your photo. There is nothing like it and should be on any photographers phone.

There is just about everything you’ll need for planning your photo shoot, except perfect conditions. I’m still playing with all of functions after a month. Must have for outdoor photography. Hands down.

This app and its capabilities far exceed my expectations. So many features and so much to learn and the results …… amazing photos

The technicalities of this app are just spot on!

It has a bit of a learning curve, but a terrific app once learned.

The simple thing of trying to fond the sun and moon paths for your current location and time are hidden. Way overcomplicates basics

If you do outdoor photography, you will love this app. This app does so much more than I can cover in a simple review. Check out the Photopills videos on YouTube to see what it can do for you.

My planning now with PhotoPills allows me to capture more without wasted scouting time. Knowing where the sun, moon, and Milky-way will be helps me precompose my images. PhotoPills is now an indispensable tool in my bag.

I would easily have paid 10 times the price for this app!

Simply the best app for photography to plan and shoot photos.

There’s so much that I have to learn about the app and photography but one thing I’m sure of is that this app will help anyone!
