A very simple app to use that provides beautifully relaxing soundscapes with piano at its heart. My only wish is that there was a bit more piano, but I'm very pleased with it otherwise and the price is less than a stop at Starbuck's. Mr. Jackson's other app, Moodscaper, is brilliant too!
Plug your device into a stereo system and turn up the volume to really appreciate the sound quality of this app! The samples are beautiful! Pianoscaper is perfect for improvising over! For the reviewer who received the wrong app from the App Store, I'm certain it wasn't the developer's error and so to penalize him with a one star rating is unfair. And for the reviewer who criticizes this app because it sounds like Hearts of Space... that's the whole point - generative, ambient music! I lov
...along with the other two apps that Rob makes. I have the full version of moodscaper but for the ease of changing sounds I picked up this one as well. I simply open another app and there it is. This app has so much mood to it that it inspires me to record and then layer. Sometimes I layer more from this app, sometimes from others. Even adding guitar to it. It's just a homerun app. Knocked it out of the park.
Great as a generative relaxation tool, or an inspiring musical instrument anyone can play. Use it alone or with other apps via any inter app audio compatible app. I highly recommend all of the scaper series apps this developer offers. A lot of fun for those who love music.
I just absolutely love this and the other scapers this developer has made. I would love to be able to do more with this app. Thank is for everything Rob Jackson!!!🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
...because I recently bought it and Guitarscaper. I’ve owned the full Moodscaper for several years. I *really* like these apps, so much that I purchased them in spite of not being updated in a long while. To the developer: I don’t have to have new features, just please don’t let them become outdated or orphaned.
Playback may be different every time, but with the same limited sound set and very little melodic possibility, it quickly becomes very repetitive. Very very limited in what you can do in terms of shaping the sound, pretty much just playing back a set of samples. Not a sound creation tool; more like an ambient sample pack with randomised playback. Sounds like '80s-'90s Hearts of Space music, if that's your thing.
