I'm a big fan of Play and will continue to use it, but on macOS, the app is a little rough. I've never encountered any problem that can't be solved by force quitting, and as soon as occasional freezing goes away, will update to five stars
Love the app! I would love to be able to save TT videos to the app - they can be up to 10 minutes long
I love queuing with this app. I just wish it could add Instagram video too!
It's really the only missing feature. A simple way to right-click a video and add it to Play would be so helpful.
Does exactly what I need to manage my YouTube watch list. Constantly updated with new features.
It errors out when I try and add a playlist.
I thought I could use this app to manage my Watch Later playlist from YouTube. Unfortunately, that feature seems to have been removed from the app. I tried for a week or so to use this as an alternative to the YouTube Watch Later playlist and store my list inside this app. The workflow of using the share sheet to add videos and then bouncing between the YouTube app and this app just didn’t work well for me. The app is well made and has a very native feel, so I feel like it deserves at least a m
Trying to organize videos in YouTube has always been a pain. Was glad to find this app where I can add videos I want to watch and tag appropriately. I've added over 3000 videos so far and no slowdowns. Also really glad there's Mac and mobile versions of the app so I can use everywhere. The only feature that might be helpful is nested tags (making child tags collapsible to clean the sidebar cleaner). I can't recommend this enough.
this app and the care and attention of its developer is the absolute bomb. go marcos go!
app can resized now, thank you. a bug that's been persistent for me is that when adding a video through the share sheet, sometimes the Play dialogue box freezes, as in, it says it succefully added the video, but it doesn't let me click ok to dismiss teh app, forcing me to forcquite the app I invoked the share sheet from. - macos
a great app that tracks all my youtube videos. I can tag and make groups and watch and comment and all sorts of stuff
I've enjoyed *all* of developer Marcos Tanaka's media-focused apps so far. Play gets me out of YouTube and into a clean-looking interface, without the noise. I start there, see what I've sent to it, pick a video or a tag, and go. Super simple to use. Thanks, Marcos.
I'm so impressed not only by the app itself, but the rapid pace of development of the app with key new features. Lovely and easy to use. One reviewer complained about not being able to resize Play to be 1/3 of their screen. Yet I can easily do that on my laptop to accomplish just what they wanted. Thoughtful, clean design without bloat. I wish all apps were as useful and easy to use.
This app fills a need I didn’t realize was there, but once you start using it it’s quite helpful! A little rough around the edges in some places, especially the macOS app, but being able to easily manage saved videos across devices makes it all worth it.
Does exactly what it's supposed to do without adding bloat or feature creep. Universal; fair price; privacy respecting. 2 thumbs up.
Quite honestly and truly. I got this app for free and would pretty much pay anything for it. Time and effort saved is immeasurable. Thank you for this gem.
Heard about this app on a podcast and couldn’t be happier to support its development.
Works great and constantly adding new or improved features
This app fills a need I didn’t know I had. If it was only going to be a place to drop YouTube vids that I want to get to later, it would be perfect. But the dev keeps adding features. It’s great. Get it.
This app is so good for such a young app. Very stable. Has a lot of potential. I think the app is worth well over $1.99.
Already an excellent tool for quick access to your favorite videos and the author takes feedback very seriously and almost instantly updates when needed
I wish the app would let me organize my links. Instead of simple bunching them all up in one page. Other than that it’s a great app.
This app has a steep learning curve. It assumes that you have a command of iOS functions. The instructions for the app is as clear as mud, but once you figure it out the app works as advertised.
I’m already in love. You should charge a lot more for this app :P I did find that the tutorial screen didn’t automatically go away on a fresh install. I had to quit and relaunch the app. Thanks for doing this!
Please tell me you are going to update and when I click on a video it will open it in native YouTube app instead of YouTube in the browser.
I like what the app does right now. I wish you would also support RSS feed, so videos would get added automatically.
