Better than Apple
It helps me organize podcasts much better than Apple native app. That was the feature I was looking for. It has a really annoying feature when you open it that always wants to suggest a podcast. Hard to see the skip button because it’s usually on the treadmill or in the car. It would be 5 stars if I could turn that off.
So much potential… but
The app works pretty well except for the search function. Search some common themes and nothing comes up, then you randomly find it scrolling later. Shows don’t always appear when they are released.
Android version is much better
I am a premium member who just switched from android to apple. The android version works flawlessly. I can’t say the same for the apple version.
I tried to get help for my issues but they ghosted me after I sent my logs. You’d think you would get support for an app you pay for.
The app does not remove played podcasts if you fast forward through ads at the end.
For many of my podcast subscriptions, it does not notify me when new episodes arrive so I can add them to a play list.

The app was perfect 2-3 years ago then went downhill when they started adding more pop ups and paid advertisements
User Friendly !
I find this app to be the best all around. The selections of material are endless and timeless. The player offers many features sure to fill the needs of all. Five Stars!
Needs CarPlay
I love so many of the features. I’ve paid for PlayerFM for multiple years now. It’s the best podcast app that syncs your phone’s podcast Library to streaming through their web app. Unfortunately now I primarily listen in the car and without CarPlay functionality I’ve started to look at alternatives.

Clumsy Interface
Poor UX design, hard to visually scan episode list for a podcast. Have to open a menu to download each individual episode. Should be quick single touches to select each one.
Terrible UI and doesn’t always save your place
A couple times per week, it starts the podcast over from the beginning rather than continuing where I left off. Very frustrating! Terrible UI UX and flow. Very difficult to find the screen with podcast controls such as forward 10 second and back 10 seconds. I’ve used a lot of podcast apps and this one drives me nuts. Canceling my subscription.
Slow and stutters
Playing through speaker, would start stuttering. Loading recent episodes takes very long.
