Surprisingly great!
Always thought setting up a plex server and players would be complex and limited. It was relatively easy and is a GREAT player.

This is without any doubt the best music player all arround on my iPad, MacBook even at work on my MacMini and on the go , streaming all my CDs and not the algorithm .
Great app, easy to set up, does everything it says
The only thing i wish was added to this app was some form of music discovery features like the recommended songs at the bottom of Spotify playlists & Daily mixes, Even if the songs you don’t have just play previews. Would be interesting if they built in a way to buy the discovered music directly into the app and have it saved to your NAS/server automatically.

This is a fantastic steaming player if you already have plex server up and running for 24/7.
Centralised your full lossless music and run tour own server is cool way to listen to music. Would have given 5/5 but i found could not delete media remotely from apps like main plex apps is a let down!
Cannot cast music that is downloaded
I don’t understand why I cannot cast music once I have downloaded it. Am I missing something? I choose to download most of my library so that I can listen offline but that means in order to cast it I have to delete all the downloads. Then I have to redownload before I leave the house so that I can listen offline. I understand that casted music has to come from a server and the plexamp app is not a web server, but why not simply cast from my plex server when I choose to cast media I have download

Get that feeling back. Zero bottleneck besides needing to own all of your music ;) The visualizers are awesome and I love the layout. When they say fall in love with your music, they really mean it!
Update: I’ve been using and storing my music on here for a week now. This app just gets better and better. The customization alone reminds you how much control one’s given up with the other streaming services. FLAC! 🤭 I love AM and Qobuz and Tidal… BUT MY CDs!!!!!!!!! My ACTUAL MUSIC!!!!! 🥹
