Pocket GM 3: Football Sim App Reviews

As it stands, this is probably the best GM game you’re gonna find. It’s definitely not the most exciting or interactive but it does great at what it wants to do. It’s definitely not something you should buy if you don’t REALLY like football. But if you do, then this should hold you over for a little bit.

I believe it’s a great game overall — the gameplay is engaging and enjoyable. However, it would be even better if a practice squad feature were added, as it would deepen the experience and allow players to develop talent more strategically.

Make pocket gm college football edition, I think it could be fun!

I love this game. I have other football sports games and you have to play on the field (if you want to be a consistent winner) this game takes that away and lets you see what you put together from building around a coaching type and player personnel type. The drafting process is awesome, trading for draft picks multiple years down the road allows you to rebuild your team fast. Great game for those who like to roster build.

Everything about this game is almost perfect to me except for the hall of fame system. I have had so many players who have over 5 pro bowl and conf bowl selections, over 15k rushing/receiving yards, and 100+ touchdowns and somehow not make the hall of fame. And that goes for other positions and their respective stats as well. At any position I will have a player with a hall of fame worthy career and not make it and be forgotten. So I think the system needs to be revamped and/or there needs to be

This game has everything you’re looking for in a franchise football simulator. It’s really fun to play, at least until you figure out how to cheat the system. I wish there was a way that the computer would reject trades if they didn’t make sense. It’s easy to abuse.

Love it, but sometimes it doesnt feel very immersive. Background music, relationships, news articles that pop up, some things I think would make me feel more immersed. Thanks for this game!!

I love this game. I’m hoping for a 4th generation. I have spent so many hours just building teams. I would like to make one suggestion. Sometimes when the players that are 99’s or the quarterbacks that are 95 and above become free agents, nobody can ever pick them up because they’re so expensive. They are literally the best players and they sit in free agency sometimes for years. There has to be a way to fix that. It makes no sense .

I’ll play this game all day… but there are small things I wish were changed like mid QB’s (70-79 OVR) asking for over $20 million at week 10 cause that’s not realistic as well as the position grouping in free agency for OL and LB because it’s too easy to sign the wrong player if you’re not paying super close attention. Outside of that… this is a fantastic game

I will spare you the details of the game, the obvious time put into this game having never played the previous titles but searching for a game I can play with and have a long term league creating pretty much whatever experience you want is incredible. If you are looking for a fun football simulation to run your own team and try to become the best or experiment with editing your own players or others around the league this app is just incredible. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This sim beats madden by a mile. Your franchise mode is so much better. I have one request. Make GM firing an option. I like the idea of a long term sim where you are on one team. Through thick and thin from 10 years of playoff appearances to 10 years of missing the playoffs. To a hall of fame QB to a bunch of 1 year journeymen QBs it would be the most fun I’d ever have.

The changes you guys have made with trade & contract evaluations has seriously stepped the app up a notch in both difficult & enjoyability. One kind of corny suggestion — could you add an option to name Team Captains at the beginning of each season? Kind of corny, but could be kind of fun

I love this game,it helps me get my mind off work n the game is very addicting.I play the game so much I even visit the Reddit real often.The new beta does have some issues,but I’m sure it’ll be fixed eventually and will be on that patreon soon💯Thank you Jon for your hard work!

This game is great, however I still play the last game because of how it displays a player’s development. It’s super inconvenient to click through each play to see what development they have.

The game works great and is arguably the best football mobile game made, yet after the years progress the scouting becomes messed up as even with the best scouts possible every is rated 5 stars no matter if they are a first round pick or a 7th round pick. The hireable coaches, scouts, and physios also becomes very 90+ heavy as the years progress compared to the first year when there is only one or two total.

1. Draft is really good, but there are way too many busts for the modern draft atmosphere (feels like a draft from the 80s) 2. Sim is also really good but there are games where my 92 overall team is losing to a 71 overall team that does not make any sense… (there should be a rating scale that you can adjust for sim randomness) 3. Fond memories of simming Super Tecmo Bowl and then Madden seasons for a decade. This is like that but better! A+ Highly Recommend!

The positives are it’s a lot of fun. The creator is helpful. The game is challenging. The record books. The achievements. Simming has gotten quicker than previous versions. Their is some randomness that can happen, a perfect team won’t always be perfect. Your team rating is more than just the skill level of the players. The negatives are the AI will trade anyone and anything. After enough time in one save you will just have too many assets. Would recommend this game to anyone who likes footba

This game is a million times better than the madden franchise mode! Worth every penny!! There’s a few things they can add but the developers are great at adding things mid season. If your skewed on buying this game just do it it’s so worth the few dollars and I’ll buy this game every year they put it out!!

This is a pretty cool app, but it’s kinda overrated. Even when you have a great team with a great coach, you can still have a really bad losing season. It’s frustrating honestly, and I’m not even on the highest difficulty and half my roster still gets injured every season.

Really enjoying the game. Plenty of options to customize how difficult you want the game to be. Really appreciate the game not requiring a seasonal payment and just having one single purchase of the game!

Game is nearly perfect. Only constructive criticism I would give is a screen to view game stats upon conclusion of the game so we can see how our players performed.
