I like it but can’t pick up the police department

I love this app! It’s so clear and it isn’t expensive!! Definitely recommend!!!

Easy to use, clean and simple. It also has some nice options available for backgrounds and more. Unless they take it away and try to charge me, I definitely recommend it.

I have two police scanner apps. In all honesty, I generally always use the other one I have. But I wanted to check this one out today because I hadn’t seen much action on my other app. The only thing that I say would make it better, would be if you had access to state police scanners

I love this police scanner and i listen to it everyday. it’s good to have around. The problem i have it is it went off line and it came back on and it did not have a volume. I would like for the support or the developer to look at and see if they can fix the volume. It only has the word police or fire and no sound with it . I hope you would fix it so that i can have something to listen to . It’s a good police scanner.

When the power companies website crashed it kept the community informed of what was going on and where to best shelter.

As a Great Lakes freighter watcher I like to listen to the marine radio traffic at the various ports. I’ve been able to do away with having to carry my marine scanner and just use my phone with my marine traffic app and use Police Scanner at same time. The upgrade was worth it!

This thing works great.

I have a couple of actual police scanners that I listen to at home and in the car. This is a great addition as background sound for times I'm using my phone or the iPad for internet use, mail, writing and during other tasks. The app sometimes surprises me and I hear things the scanners miss. Excellent app.

Tried most on the App Store and like this one enough to purchase! Very easy interface, customizable background, can re-order scanners you follow too. Very nice job!!

There’s time that it doesn’t come in clear. That’s happening a lot more now.

I like this app but had to pay for it a second time to add it to my iPhone. Is this normal?

This is the best app that I can use because I can go to my favorite agencies that I have selected but there are some agencies that I can't enter.

I have used for many years and find this app very imformative and helpful when there is crisis going on in city, state, or world. Thank you for having it updated and available.

Helps know who my need extra help in small town

I have loved this app forever. I updated today and it says I will get no ads. It’s constantly every few seconds giving me an ad. The most irritating is Google. It refuses to leave the screen and I want nothing to do with signing into Google for an account remove the ads like you say you will once I updated please. Then I’ll give you five stars.

You are the greatest by far!

As a retired Chief I enjoy listening to the scanners from various locations. Brings back memories of the past. I did my 30 years and enjoyed every one of them on the job.

Question: how often are frequency changes made? Memphis police made change recently. Hard to justify cost of a physical scanner with this app. Thanks.

No hidden fees or subscriptions. And more stations than you can imagine! From railroad to comedy. Try it I did and I love it. You can set an alarm to wake you to your favorite station. Get it, you will not be sorry. Curt U.

I use this program on my iPad mini and my iPhone 13 and allows me to keep track of what's going on in my area of the world

I live by I44. Like to Listen to see if anything bad happened. Most of the time I could not understand until upgrade. As you can probably guess I am old. And just like to hear what’s going on. L

Great app, never fails, my wife is a fire dispatcher, the app is only seconds behind true dispatch…I use the Pro version.

There’s no static and the voices are clear

Excellent scanning features regarding police and fire services my favorite California county’s of Los Angeles and Ventura were the action never stops. And all the other features this app contains.

Love the app but that echo bug is back! So I’m giving you a 3star nope restarted the app echo is gone 5 stars!!!

Tried several scanner apps, this was the best of the bunch. I love that I can listen to transmissions from all over. Also the timer, haven’t found any other scanner apps with Thais functionality. Been using this scanner app only for 5 years.

It has most of my local Depts except for the ones that went encrypted. Even a $500 scanner won’t get those so this one still lets me listen in. Good value for the price (free) and works well. Recommend by a Ham and former Fire Chief.

Just found out about this app. Am addicted already. Love it. It’s on from the time I wake up til I go to sleep at night!!!

I appreciate listing to the local emergency transmissions when the fire alarms go off, or when I hear many sirens nearby, or when a helicopter is circling overhead.

Some static and hard To understand what they’re saying at times but that could just be the individual officer or radio.

Overall same as others. Some issues with cutting out and missing parts while people are talking

Listen every once in a while wish I knew the codes

This is by far the best police Scanner available based on the price it’s communications is clear ( not like others I’ve tried ).

I used to love this app. Now when I use it someone’s house siding ad pops up and I can’t get rid of it, not even to adjust the scanner controls.The same ad stays up all the time . I hope the developer can fix this.

An app that connects to the local police, fire and EMS a few times per month is worth nothing. We turn it on when the fire siren goes off and just occasionally we’ll hear a few words. Most of time it’s just silent. I’ve never had an app that performs worse.

To be fair this review is based only on how the app works in my area. This used to be a really good app but something has changed and for this to be a police scanner app I get very few police interactions. Its mostly EMS and Fire and while I’m not talking down to those guys, I have the app because it’s called a police scanner! If you live in or around Anderson SC buy a real scanner otherwise you won’t hear much of the police at all. Same for the other police scanner apps as well.
