Scoring system is a bit unreasonable, but a fun game nonetheless

This app is fun and I like that there’s a daily puzzle. I understand the need for a paywall to access additional days. One thing I think that should be added is an option to challenge the clues. Some of them are phrased poorly or incorrectly and I think there should be an option to challenge it in case certain clues get recycled.

i’ve been really liking this but it’s been stuck on the july 7th game and won’t let me play todays game

This has become a daily event in the lunchroom at my work, and it's been fun to solve the puzzles together but it's been stuck on July 7 for a week, and we've been missing it.

I loved this app until the puzzle stopped updating a month ago and never reloaded. There’s no updates to the app so I guess I’m just stuck. Bummer, it was fun.

My former favorite game has stopped updating. Haven't gotten a new puzzle in months, but I still get notifications telling me to take a shot at today's Portmanteau. I open the app and it's already completed from July. I keep hoping it will update one day.

very cute idea and app. my only complaint is that even though I’m logged in, it doesn’t save my stats/streak (and this might just be a me problem) love playing this game!

it’s a fun party game or daily solo game! i highly recommend

I really love this game! It’s so much fun, and a good thing to share with friends. My biggest complaint is that you can’t go back and look at the previous day’s answer. But overall, a really fun game!

I wish it was a little more clear when it took off points for spacing and when it corrected itself, but love the game.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a game that came so quickly after TikTok virality hit, but this is perfect! Just the right levels of difficulty and relevance. I wish you could do past puzzles for free but I understand they have to make money somehow, as the app seems currently to not generate ad revenue.

This is not your average game! It is very challenging and when you get it right, it’s very rewarding!

I play this game everyday and I really enjoy it. My only issue is with the new ‘Categories’ part of the app. The last two days i’ve guessed the category correctly and was counted wrong because of the wording of my answer. Yesterday was ‘tennis scores’ and my answer was ‘tennis scoring’- which was wrong. Today was ‘books in the bible’ and my answer of ‘bible of the bible’ was also wrong. It’s very frustrating that this can make the difference between answers.

This app is a great concept and is easy to use! The only thing I wish is that you would be given the correct answers if you don’t correctly answer the daily Portmanteau; would be great to have this added!

These daily puzzles are now part of my typical NYT puzzle mix! So fun, so creative, and so good! 5 stars!

Great idea for an app. Looking forward to logging in daily and seeing what the next combination will be. Initial one’s have been a bit tricky, but that only feel that much better when I “got” them!

I love that this exists. In my opinion it’s way more fun than the other word games out there because of the “clues” that allow you to try to figure out each word. You’ve gotta check this out!

These daily word teasers are fun! I used to play Wordle, but this is way better!

A simple concept that can be quite the challenge at times. A creative and fun filled game that really makes you think.

Fun app, lets you compete with a friend to see who is faster (and needs fewer hints), but it sometimes goes days between new puzzles being released. With only one puzzle for day, this is very annoying.

Should be free. Only get 1 puzzle per day.
