Easiest way to get a visual impression of the next 24 hours along our coast.

I don’t sail. I live in the California big trees. With all of the forest fires I need accurate wind info. This App does that very well.

Predictwind is what everyone uses for understanding weather and wind patterns. It is intuitive and easy to use, but loaded with data.

When I crossed the Atlantic I relied on PredictWind for a daily update. We were able to avoid some bad weather and maximize sailing time to avoid motoring, and that meant that refueling in expensive places like Fernando de Narhonha and St Helena was minimized. I have been using PredictWind in the U.S. for about a year and SPIRE has been my go to model. Today I opened PredictWind and SPIRE has been replaced with AIFS. Support replied that they are in the process of adding newer models that should be a better replacement. Time will tell. Thank you “Support” for the quick response.

I do a lot of sailing on Lake Michigan 0n a 36 foot boat… There is a University of Illinois weather buoy off Winthrop Harbor that has all the information I would like …perhaps you could feed some of that real time info into locations that are near the lake

This has been a great app so far. I used it on a passage from New York to Florida. It helped me avoid the effects of Hurricanes Humberto and Imelda. Thank you

Very intuitive, simple and informative

As of a few weeks ago, the maps are no longer functional, rendering the app close to useless. Love paying $249 a year for a useless app. Their workaround is to ask you to log in through a browser on your phone instead, which automatically forces you to open the non-functional app. Try one of the windy’s instead

Very good tool for planning a day on the water.

I believe that the prediction models are simply not well suited to deal with land effects“ such as Seabreeze and land breeze. Sitting here on the coast of Belize, inside the reef, all of the prediction models are simply wrong most of the time. At the moment, the forecast was for NE 5–10, and it was blowing strongly from the SW all day. I understand this is not a PredictWind problem, per se….

This is one of the best wind forecasting apps I’ve used for Tampa Bay fishing. It has outperformed the others I’ve used including NOAA! Very accurate!!

Stellar product with easy to read and navigate maps… A+++

Wind graph needed to show wind and gusts in graphical form in one single overview. As it is it is too cumbersome to see why wind will be over the course of a day.

I love this app, I use it almost every day, it’s very accurate, I use it in Florida and Maryland.

I’ve been using the app for sail and weather routing up and down the California coast. it has been working great for lanning trips and deliveries.

Need better information on waves

I often check this site while on the water to monitor it’s accuracy. I find it is very accurate. As fishermen on Lake Michigan know, you can never have enough good intel.

I have been using this app for 5 years now and you can always count on it’s accuracy.

I purchased a standard edition (as that is what the AI chat box said I needed) to interface with my B&G Zeus3 MFD. Everytime I would try and login on the MFD I always got wrong user name or password. I could login on my phone or computer with the same credentials without issue but it will not connect on B&G.

I want to own my tools; especially critical ones that could either keep me alive or get me killed. SASS is an asinine paradigm. 😡
