The only reason this isn’t 5 star is Bluetooth constantly disconnects and reconnects, over and over. Update: thank you for your quick response Angela. All suggestions are in place as suggested. Distance from R4 to iPhone is less than a foot. Good Bluetooth signal strength. It also happens with both vehicles. Any other suggestions? Thank you

The speedometer and compass features on this app are very distracting. The creator of this app should take a page from Uniden and allow the option to minimize visual distraction when radar/laser updates are not happening. Uniden detectors come with a 'scanning screensaver' that can be turned off, atleast.

Love the app. Only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is no ability to change the screen colors. Other than that love it.

This seems to be a pretty good app except it be better if you could put it on the Apple CarPlay in your car. this way if you get a phone call, you can still see the alerts on your car display.

This app demystifies what is going on in the radar detector and eases customization. I would like a more detailed manual, but I think that since I’ve only used it for about 6 days, the info will come organically. Nice app.

An improvement in controlling the R4 and worth its modest price. However, the IOS version has no options to change the R4’s primary display settings for speed, compass, scanning, time, etc. I was disappointed these major user interface choices are missing and would rate the app 5 stars if it had them.

I’ve downloaded countless apps, however, this is the only app I’ve ever bothered to write a review for. This app exceeded my expectations and more. If you think $9.99 is too much, consider you spent $300 on the r4. This enhances the R4 greatly. Much appreciation to the developers.

Be amazing if this app was added as an option for CarPlay.

Makes having a radar detector more effective and less annoying! I highly recommend it to every R4/R4w owner.

Works well with the R4..only issue is if you are not US based you need to change your phone account region in IOS to be able to install the app

Love this app works like a charm, and it looks futuristic.

Very impressed with the R4 companion app. Initial release was very polished and I encountered no issues! My rides have become much quieter with K band falses. I was also able to increase the sensitivity on my detector confidently knowing the companion app would help filter out those dang Hondas haha. Excited to see if any new features come out!

This is my first radar detector app and it has been an easy learn. Does what it’s supposed to well. Recommend!

This app is a solid companion and a must.

After using the radar alone and trying the this app with it I was amazed how it helps turn downs false signal on normal roads. I do have one feature or bug I still can’t figured out. The city over speed warning comes on even when I turn it pass 60. I want to go faster than 60 and it does it on the toll road too. I have to reset to factory settings to get rid of it. I hope they can tell me how I can turn it off or and fix the bug even when I’m on the highway with speed faster than 60. Update: lo

This App takes the R4 to a new level. Love the customization options. As someone who operated a radar unit for 30yrs and knows what radar units are being used I was able to narrow down the alarms to just police radar. A suggestion for a future update, I would love the ability to auto MUTE the startup process. I don't need the radar detector making all those annoying announcements and beeps every time I start my vehicle.

It is difficult to imagine that this app works so well with just its default settings that it made me believe my R4 wasn’t working properly. The truth is, I was getting a vast number of false alerts that this app helped to mute - while Keeping track in the log for later review. The only thing I haven’t figured out how to do it to use the map function in the app to go back and mark certain spots as false alerts. You can mark the type of alert, but there doesn’t seem to be away to mark as a false

This app is a great utilization of the R4’s Bluetooth compatibility. Adds some really useful features to my R4. Does especially well at filtering out false alerts. Great app, easily worth 10 dollars.

I typically don’t write reviews for apps, but since this is a paid app and an app that performs flawlessly, the developer deserves to have a positive review written. I would’ve paid $20 for this app. It allows you to adjust most settings that you would normally have to do on the R4 itself. Also, you can see many more details of what the R4 is detecting that the small display can’t show. If I had one recommendation it would be to have a Landscape option that also flips the display so you could

Great app for $10! Makes your R4 a new device if you don’t already know how to use the basic functions

The app works great, connects to my r4 fast and has a easy interface. Only problem for me is the advanced false assist, I live in a small town and the cops here still use k band. More times than not the app will “ghost” the cop car and act like it’s a Honda/acura. My solution would be able to tweak the advanced false assist, make it so your able to turn off ghost mode, while keeping the other options so you don’t have to completely turn false assist off.
