It works for me
To get it right, get a new string on your racquet and play with the value of the string factor until match the value tension of you new strings.. it works for me 👍
Very clever - and good
Great way to track the loss of tension of your string job. 1st version it was sometimes tough to hit the and get a reading; with the current version it almost always gives a good reading.
Essential
I have 3 kids who play competitive tennis and so stringing has become essential. I find the app to be incredibly accurate, allowing me to get predictable tension every time. I could calibrate the tension on my stringer with the reported tension on the app but that's not necessary since the readings are so consistent.
I now have something like 10 different racquets and at least that many strings in the database . It's easy to add more. It's great for checking tension after a couple of uses as w
Great Technology
Without a doubt the closest thing to an industry standard in measuring relative string tension. Incredibly accurate.
Should be in every serious player's toolkit. There is no competition when it comes to this App.
Everything you need
Perfect for customizing rackets
Measures about 7lbs off for my 3 racquets
Strung all 3 of my DR98 to 55lbs with Solinco Tour Bite 16g. Checked tension right after stringing and gave me readings of 48lbs on all 3. Tried to mess around with the string factor, but it still gave me readings between 45-49lb mark. I’m still going to keep the app to use as tension reference points after matches.
String factor accuracy is crucial
Fantastic app. Incredibly useful to graph how the racket loses tension over time. Readings are very accurate. (note, if I’m stringing a poly, I can sometimes lose up to 10% by the time it’s off the stringer, then maybe another 10% over the next 48 hours) String factor accuracy is crucial, and the online database can be hit or miss, you’ll see lots of variation in there. You should measure this yourself to make sure it’s accurate, because it will greatly affect the reading. I use the weight metho
I must be doing it wrong
I restrung my racquet at 55#. This app said the tension was 40.2# right after I finished. I checked the string factor and ensured that I’d entered the correct values all the parameters (e.g. string pattern, racquet face size). I followed the measurement procedure to the letter.
I could believe a couple lb. change but 15? Nyet. The racquet plays like 50-55.
A Gamma String Tension Tester said the two center main strings were at 55# and the two center cross strings were at 39 and 40#.

Amazingly Accurate
It’s almost too good to be true. I get readings and I think, no, it must be wrong. It can’t be a mistake a made. Sure enough, I did something wrong.
When I string exactly the same, I get the exact same output. This is an amazing app.
It has helped me string better and learn more about how my string tension changes over time.
Well done!!
Better than I expected
I have had this App for a week now and the results have been much better than expected! I use it to find out how much tension drops after each playing session.

Doesn't work with hybrid strings
I'm using hybrid strings (VS Touch and RPM or Solinco Tourbite) with different tentions for mains and crosses and couldn't get a consistent display. Spend quite some time to try to get the string factor setup right with no luck.
Not consistent or accurate
90% of the time I could no get the app to pick up a tension despite following the guides
Racket strung at 47lbs confirmed on ERT tension tester machine. When I got racket tunes to pick up, it showed 58lbs. Used the correct string set up.
At best this app might be able to tell you which of your rackets is strung a bit tighter. But that’s all. Just a gimmick.
Wouldn’t waste your money
Pretty inconsistent
I place the phone on a table, lay the racquet about an inch above it and use a wooden spatula to hit the strings. It has a delta of +/- 4-5 lbs and is hard for me to trust.
