Unfortunately it seems this app is being discontinued and only getting minor maintenance releases, but even those are becoming fewer and far between
Reeder Classic is so close to perfect. Integrates with my self hosted FreshRSS instance, and makes it where I have to do almost no subscription management from FreshRSS directly. It’s also very customizable, with lots of reading options. The only fly in the ointment is it doesn’t remember my reading position in long articles. Many articles are too long to read in one sitting so I want to come back and finish later. Sometimes when I leave the app and come back, my reading position has been res
Please don’t abandon this app for the new social media style app you made. The new app is NOT how I want to consume my feeds. I want an RSS Reader for that. I can use social media apps if I was interested in infinite scrolling.
I don’t care if it hasn’t been updated in 5 months. For all intents and purposes this app is still the best in its class.
Reeder is one of the best apps of all time. But development has slowed, and bugs are piling up. Moving on to another RSS app until this gets fixed.
This is the best RSS app in the App Store and has been for many years. I would give anything to have a companion Apple Watch app that syncs to my phone. Right now I'm using two different apps and they unfortunately do not sync, and I'm not interested in setting up a Feedly subscription to manage this when the iCloud sync in Reeder is top notch. I would finally have the perfect Apple Watch set up if I could include Reeder, and I can fully leave my phone behind when I leave the house. Let me know
While scrolling through my feed of articles, anytime my sources get updated it pushes my feed list of what I’m currently viewing way down to make room for the new stories. So I have to scroll down a bunch to where I was before, very annoying.
Using this with a self-hosted FreshRSS instance and it’s fantastic
Mac版正常刷新 iCloud一樣的rss在iPhone上一直轉圈 最新文章一直是幾個月前 iCloud的所有rss
This is by far one of the best apps I’ve ever used. The super clean and uncluttered interface, seamless cross platform integration, along with a reasonable price without an unnecessary subscription make this my favorite and most used app. Happily purchased both iOS and Mac versions and will eagerly pay for updates in future.

Perfect app. But the Twitter’s feed failed again……
Reliable; Worth every penny!
Hey, dev, I love reader so much. Sadly, I'd love to see it features filter some key words so I don't need to 'see' content I dont't want to. How'bout add search content?
The send button is gray and unresponsive.
Solid RSS reader. I like that it syncs across all my devices via iCloud without needing a third party service or account. The reader view, for sites that don’t provide the full article in their feeds, is excellent, though you can’t use it with hard-paywalled sites even if you have a subscription. I recommend it if you want a simple news reader app.
It can’t sync new subscriptions on phone, but on Mac, it works well.
Love the app but lately Twitter feeds are not syncing/loading. I reached out via email but no response.
Chinese translation support
Would love an option to have folders inside of folders so the initial feed looks a bit cleaner, this will let each folder have subcategories
iCloud read later stopped working on the desktop months ago. More recently, it stopped working on the mobile app. No support responses from developer. It’s a shame, it’s a really great app UI and the functions that work, work well. Just feels like we’re being left in the dust with a paid app. Update: months later, This was fixed. No response (ever!) from developer on support requests, but the fixes were made. So the app works again, but the dev continues to be non-responsive.
add function: Followed lists can be displayed in the form of cards; Users can customize Favcion。
Fast, in sync across devices. Powerful features. Problem free. A daily usage tool across iPad, iPhone and Mac.
There’s should be a choice to delete specific articles that aren’t exactly relevant to your list, press and hold and an option pop up to delete the article from your feed
In a recent idea I no longer stay logged into websites through Reeder. Even if I sign in, if I close the in app browser and open it again I’m signed back out. This used to work. Follow up: Seems it was an iOS bug. I rebooted and cookies work again.
What is a recipe? It’s not mentioned on your app page or in your documentation. Thanks!
Pros: Pay once for the app and is yours forever. iCloud Synchronization YouTube Channel fast clean navigation and integration Twitter fast clean navigation and integration Reddit fast clean navigation Integration. Did I mention fast? Clean interface Intuitive interface Cons: None
I love that there is a one time fee for use. I sync my Feedly to this and set up a swipe gesture to save to Pocket. I will also explore using the new read it later feature in the app. This works for me and it works perfectly.
I really dislike the levels of contrast for reading light mode (yes, even with “increase contrast” enabled). I find myself just going straight to the article’s website to read instead.
Great app, I no longer scroll hacker news and other news sites all day. Now I have them set up as RSS feeds and I scroll through all my feeds in a few minutes 2-3 times a day. Bought the Mac app too, love that as well!
Please join the background timed refresh
This is a gorgeous app for reading articles, however the fact that it does not “still” support push notifications (almost all others do), is strangely disappointing. How is anyone to keep up with latest content without notifications?

Easy to use and elegant😍
The bionic reading function is so good I want to use it every time I read news
Image preview increases original image size display
The app is useful for staying up-to-date with feeds, but the layout is confusing with common actions buried or not exactly obvious (like creating folders).
I use this as a YouTube feed. Gets rid of the ads and random recommendation nonsense.
This app is well designed, and it makes reading favourite sources clutter-free. However, there’s a need for BETTER looking fonts.
The just added Reddit feature is awesome!! Twitter was also added but i don’t use it.
Even I turn off and on the background refresh switch, it’s still not working
4 Negative User Reviews for Reeder Classic
I've attempted to report a bug in the app several times over the last month but have received no response. It seems the developer has moved on to the new version of Reeder and renamed this one “classic.” I had high hopes that this was going to be the perfect RSS reader, and while it's close, it's pretty hard to live with a glaring bug that causes gigantic margins on my iPad mini.
This has been abandoned in favor of the new Reeder, which is a worse app in nearly every respect. Such a shame because this was the best in class and now it’s wasting away with small but annoying display issues in iOS 26 that will only worsen with time. I’m off to find a new alternative, and that alternative will not be the new Reeder.

I noticed that bugs are not getting fixed here. For example, sorting articles by oldest to newest or newest to oldest doesn’t work. There are other issues like this. Very frustrating. In addition, the developer does not respond to support requests. Time to start looking at other apps.
