33 Positive User Reviews for Remotix VNC, RDP & NEAR
This product has enabled me to do my job from a hospital bed after having come down with a foot infection that required surgery. I’m using this on an iPhone to control many Windows machines and the overall performance has been impressive, including several machines which are using the SSH tunneling feature. The ability to use both RDP and VNC scenarios makes this a very flexible product. Recommended.
I’ve used this for years and it’s always been the snappiest client for my connections to my Mac and Linux boxes at work. It’s great to now use external mice with it as well. Most importantly, over the years I’ve rapidly encountered small bugs when major iOS updates happen and the folks working on Remotix have always responded to my inquiries very quickly, pushing out software updates that rapidly address any problems.
A friend recommended this software, it’s wonderful. Their desktop apps and iOS apps work in sync, their cloud hub makes sure all the computers I manage are listed with details. It stores access code credentials and the mouse controls on the iPad are intuitive. I contacted tech support for account questions and they were responsive and polite. Can’t ask for more. Saved me a small fortune from TeamViewer. Plus it stores system specs and location tracking! (Note: I use their NEAR connection almost
The software is surprisingly easy to setup and use. I love the simple remote access with reporting back on the status of the devices. Two things that I would like to see work better: 1. When you configured groups in the cloud (HUB) and then open the app, the work done in the hub is overwritten by the iPad and sometimes the computer with Remotix installed on it. You don’t loose the computer, but loosing time you spent organizing is frustrating. 2. I would like to see how you configure a “Team
I was really bummed to not find any great solutions to remote connect to my labs of Windows machines, macOS machines and servers. I found Remotix off the RoyalTSX website. I use that other app on my macOS machines, but they do not have a real client for iOS/iPADOS. Back to Remotix. If you are a sysadmin and need to access RDP and VNC over SSH, this is the app for you. It has many display options from resolution to zoom level.. and it just works. The touch, touchpad options are also great.
Great app for organizing dozens of rd and vnc connections. The cloud sync is awesome. The mac app counterpart is so very nice as well
This seems to be the only viable RDP app even after all these years. Good job to the developers!
I was introduced to the use of Remotix by a friend, and after enabling sharing, I’ve found that I enjoy using this to remotely access a MacBook more often than I thought I would.
I only use this when I’m at home, but my Mac and my PC are not in my living room…. This app was easy to set up, and I can check on downloads and other slower tasks, while I’m in the living room, or my kitchen… on my iPad! One of the easiest apps of this kind (I’ve bought five others. I use this one.)
If you read the instructions it works really well, and if you think you know it all and try to set it up without reading the instructions you’ll have some trouble, until you read the instructions. The support people do it all by email for now, but they’re really very good and very quick. I’ve had two exchanges with them, and they got back to me the next day. So far I’ve hooked up to client computers: one locally, and one across the country. They are both snappy and responsive to my controls by i
This is an excellent app. I have been using it for years! And I use it both with Mac OS and Windows OS s. and I just wanted to comment and let everybody know how well-made this app is
By far the best remote app I have used since CoRD was sunset. Have used the agent on all three of the major OS platforms and each is easy and responsive. Allows me to access all my machines from anywhere with minimal headache.
I’ve used lots of products through the year’s and I’ve settled on this one. It does what I need, it has excellent speed & stability, and it supports the SSH connections that I use.
Just bell’s for every character typed at the login screen of the remote mac.
I'm using this app for about 2 years and it is getting better with each release. The performance of its RDP engine is super.
Easy to set up and exactly what the vendor says it well. I'm very satisfied.
Best remote app. Best mouse emulation by far.
I've had this for several years and am very happy with it. It does just what it claims it will and does so reliably.
Looked for something to change to from Desktop connect and found this. It works for my needs.
Cute, what’s there appears well written but to be useful must have X11 client support and not require special software to be installed. We run lots on Linux systems can support as X11 servers. Really really need X11 client support.
Program works perfect on IPAD’s and is easy to navigate. I highly recommend this product.
... and despite being tempted to try the competitors, I always return to Remotix. It just works.
I use an iPad and MBAir to access iMac and MacPro at home. I easily screenshare and remotely manage seamlessly. The major limitation is the wifi access at my remote site. The app is great.
Been using this for years. Always works great for all the environments.
Does what it says on the tin and does it well.
Definitely 1 of the better RDP/VNC apps
Use it all the time for CentOS and macOS clients and it’s got everything and just works
Sometimes I can connect to a Mac but cannot do anything on the remote Mac, other than move the cursor within the app. When it works it’s great, but frustrating when it does not.
I have been using it to connect to Mac OSX computers for a couple of weeks. It uses a secure connection to the Mac VNC Server which is a great feature.
...and now FINALLY supports Face ID.
hello dear i have problem with new update the app hang upp for 10 sec when i switch to another app and return to the app i’m using the last version of ios and my phone is iphone 6s plus i had no issue before update it
After a rough patch with the version 8 update, the problems have been ironed out and Remotix is back to being the best VNC solution in the App Store. Good job developers.
Highly recommend since it is already supported for many years and long term support is very respectable. Supports ssh tunnels with a private key. Works just like expected.
