8 Positive User Reviews for Renfe

App is good, avoid website like the plague.

This app has been working smoothly and I was able to create an account with an US phone number and book train tickets with this app flawlessly. You just have to find the selection for the Spanish translation of United States. I would have given the app 5 stars but because of their website, it brought the rating down to a 3. The website does not work at all.

It works when it works

The only thing worse than the app is the website.

Never works

Keeps giving errors that the server is down.

Works, barely.

You’ve gotta have the patience of Christ himself to work your way through this app. Although better than trainline, RENFE desperately needs to hire a web/app designer to work on this app and their website some more.

Works great normally

Normally works great but these past few days I haven’t even been able to login. This limits a lot of functionality and although there are other ways of showing your ticket, knowing that this app has failed to show my ticket multiple days in a row due to the inability to lock in does not make it feel reliable.

Good trains, bad app

I love writing Spanish trains, including the good café Kahn, they are affordable, efficient and the train stations. Take you right to the center of the town. However, the app is simply not very good. It’s great when you have your tickets and you just want to scan them, but I have had it crashed so many times after loading my information it’s incredible. And the website crashes even more. I will say that if you call and get help, they’re very nice, but the idea of the app is to avoid that of c

Payment processing needs serious work

First off, the website is trash. The app is not much better. You can select ticket type, seats and options easily, but when you need to process payment, the app fails. I have half a dozen ghost charges on my card statement because the system charges but can’t complete the transaction. Also, ApplePay nor the ability to save a frequently used credit card is not available. Having to type in a card every time is tedious to say the least.
