13 Positive User Reviews for RhythmLock

Fun way to learn rhythms

Great way of tying the notation to the feel of the beat. And app works great

Fun and I’m actually improving my rhythm

I usually find these kind of exercises tedious but it really lets you play without getting anxious or annoyed. A winner.

Perfect tool for measuring and improving

What a great little tool for practicing the feel of rhythm — intuitive games, instant feedback, including measurement of how “right on the beat” your rhythm is. Super useful to practice and improve in small doses!

RhythmLock Rocks!

RhythmLock is a fun way to learn rhythm patterns and build musicianship. The app provides valuable feedback on the accuracy of a performance, and whether the user was playing early, on time, or late. Great for students learning to read music notation and anyone who wishes to improve their sense of time.

Legit practice tool

As a musician, this ‘game’ is a great way to practice time-keeping in a fun and addictive way.

Best Rhythm App

This is the best rhythm training app I’ve found. One of my favorite features is the feedback after a round that distributes your inputs over the whole round in a bar graph to show you how early or late your inputs have been. I love it and am using it daily.

Great practice tool!

Fun app to practice rhythms. This dropped at a perfect time for me and is making learning fun. Thanks!!!

Awesome app!

This app is SWEET!! I love the instant feedback of how on or off the beat you are. It really gets you to try and lock in with the groove and focus on the rhythm you are playing. Very good for all musicians!

Holy Crap!!

I’ve been an instrumentalist for 13 years now, and I within the last year decided to pick up the drums. I got this app because I was trying to improve my pocket (how the music feels) but I was expecting to just be making small changes and tweaks. Boy was I wrong! I turned this app on hard mode and it took me a whole two days before I was able to beat just an eighth note level! Really showed me the bad habits I have in terms of time and I now use it every day as part of my practice routine. Trust

Cool app but needs ability to freely adjust time

Cool app but would be even better if you could set the bpm yourself instead of having to rely on easy, medium, hard.

Incredibly frustrating

Which means that it’s good. Really great app

Latency is a buller

Great idea but there’s a latency between my hits and the sound of high makes for a jerky experience. If cleaned up this would be killer.

Good but basic

This is a good app for practicing rhythm. It seems to be mostly designed to tell you whether you’re rushing or lagging so far it’s just quarter and eighth notes starting on a beat or an and. The main reason for not giving it a higher score as it doesn’t have any training or remediation capability that is, if you can’t get a particular pattern it just keeps playing the same pattern so you’re kind of stuck. When that happens, your only option is to try one of the alternative lessons below. That no
