More Myst sequels please!

I remember looking for this for iOS a few years ago and not finding it. What a nice surprise when I checked again yesterday! Thanks Cyan!

I’m guessing it’s better on a computer or other device, but on the iPhone the design has many flaws. The zoom in feature is really annoying, so it’s easy to miss lots of clues, and sometimes when you tap on a clue it doesn’t work. That’s just a few issues on the design. The method to move around is a little underwhelming, but if you’re patient and dedicated to the game, you get used to it. This game came out in the 90’s and was way ahead of it’s time. Beautifully done and for me-nostalgic. Nice to see it again.

Because Cyan is STILL releasing updates to an 8yr old iOS game based on a 25 year old PC game.

Update to iOS 26

It’s the same Riven I remember but it seems Cyan has forgotten that Myst fans love the ambiance of the cut scenes as much as we love playing the game. They need to get rid of the giant, green, cartoonish fast-forward button and just make it a double tap anywhere on the screen.

Don’t update this app if you can help it. It is changed completely and it really stinks.
