Everyone was fully entertained-even the driver! We were tempted to try some of the “non-suggested”stops just to hear the narrators response-very interactive and easy to use-totally worth the $14.99

I was skeptical but after reading reviews, decided to buy it. Best $14.99 spent! I missed his name so I started calling him Gary because he sounded like a Gary to me. Anyway, we stopped at most of his recommendations especially memorable was Aunty Sandy’s. Must stop and get at least one loaf! Hearing about some of Hawaii’s history was very enlightening! Well done!

Our trip was enjoyable on the way and back. All the history was an added plus! This is better than having a personal tour guide.

At first we thought, why pay for an app when the Road to Hana is free. We changed our mind as soon as we hit start. This app is an excellent resource for the trip as well as learning about Hawaiian history in a brief, entertaining way. The stories between stops pull you in. The Road to Hana is not complete without it.

A friend recommended this app and it did not disappoint! We learned so much on our journey to Hana!

The narrator, we named him Frank, was awesome. He was so helpful and was just perfect on all his suggestions. We loved the history as well and his funny remarks. He made for a memorable experience. No one should ever drive the road to Hana without taking “Frank” along with them.

This guide made the trip informed and gave us the opportunity to make educated choices about how best to use our time. The history of Hawaii on the return journey made it as fun as the journey to and past Hana which we would not have experienced were it not for this app!

Beginning to end this was a great addition to our Road to Hana journey. It was nice balance of talking vs quiet. My one issue (and it’s a “me” thing) is I wanted to scream…it’s TOWARD NOT TOWARDS! That is unless you are not US or Canadian. I might have finally yelled that out at the end.

My husband and I do not like group tours and enjoy going at our own pace/privacy while traveling. We wanted to tour Road to Hana but were just planning to drive and see what stops were along the way on the map. This app basically turned our day into a private tour and was so perfect! It went at our pace based on our GPS location and gave us all the tips and tricks for must see stops/snacks and sights as well as the ones you can take or leave. We did the road to Hana tour and the app was spot on, entertaining, and educational. The directions and options of plans as the drive went on were phenomenal. Made the trip with our 5 y/o and 1.5 y/o a breeze!

This app was a life savor!! It was spot on at every moment, didn’t require WiFi, and the guide was funny, historical, and entertaining. Totally worth it!!!! (If the actual guide is reading this a mongoose passed right in front of us after the spiel lol)

However almost every segment either the first few words or the last few words were cut off. Made it rather annoying at times.

This app was fantastic for our family! It helped pass the time, especially on the way back when a little car sickness was threading. We learned so much about the history of Hawaii and all of the amazing things offered on the way to Hana.

We were visiting Maui and decided we’d try the road to Hana. I had read about this app on other blogs and travel reviews. Hands down this was fantastic and we had the best experience of any of our self guided road trips. The gps narration was flawless and the narrator terrific with a great delivery, humor, and a wealth of information not only about the sights but the history as well. If you’re doing the road to Hana this is a must have companion.

This was a wonderful companion down the road to Hana. I love the must-do stops and other pro tips along the way. There was also some fascinating history on the route back. Worked offline with no glitches. I can’t imagine doing the drive without it.

I would highly recommend this app if you’re going to drive the road to Hana on your own. The narrator was super knowledgeable and funny. We wouldn’t have known to have stopped and looked at half of the things to see without this app. We also loved history lesson at the end!!!

This app was mentioned on a YouTube video I watched about the Road to Hana. It is a must! I mean must! The app is easy to use, super directional with lots of tips on what to see in order of importance , when to park and then to boot gives you excellent commentary. If you take a tour guide in a pack full of people, you are crazy. Do this in the peacefulness of your own car at your own rate.

This is the absolute best audio tour. Very precise location descriptions. Very helpful tips. We listened to this tour the entire way to Hana and back and was entertained the entire time.

Amazing tour guide.

I bought this based on a friend’s recommendation, and was very skeptical of it to begin with. But it turned out to be amazing. It parapets when you are close to the Hana Highway explains things in details. App tells the story associated with various pointes of interest. It was a long drive, and the app tells stories of Hawai’i history while returning to keep you awake. I will buy future apps. In my opinion, a must have.

We loved the Gypsy Road to Hana app. We used it for our recent visit and found it to be extremely informative, easy to use and entertaining. I don’t know how we would have known where to stop without the app. We also learned a lot about the Road to Hana and Hawaiian history. It really was like having a tour guide in our car. Well worth the $14.99 !

Totally worth the money. We did the RTH today and this was amazing. All the inside info you need, along with driving etiquette reminders were super helpful navigating the one-lane bridges. The history of the Hawaiian Islands on the way back was incredible as well. I feel like we made a new friend in the jeep - very down to earth, soothing and enjoyable. Thanks for the time and effort it took to put this together!

Incredible tour guide that made the trip. Don’t go on the road to Hana without this! Worth every penny. The tour guide is very entertaining and gives you a ton of information for every stop, he also gives you the must do 5 stops and it works without cell signal because you wont have cell service. Get this app!

Loved hearing about all the stops on the road to Hana along with the history of the Hawaiian islands!

Someone tipped us off to this app. It was the best way to drive the Road to Hana. Everything was perfect from telling about the courtesy at the single-lane bridges, to the not-to-miss stops, to the tip to eat at the Fish Market in Paia- the best meal we had in Maui. The history on the return trip was very interesting too.

Y’all, seriously, you have to get this app. There was a big group of us from 9-80 years old in 3 different vehicles. This app was so incredible. It kept the drivers calm, led us right to where we needed to go and even where we didn’t need to waste time. We took the whole Hana loop and absolutely loved the humor, advice, and history. And, as the driver, I liked the drink my passengers treated me too when we got back to the resort (great suggestion GyPsy). You will NOT regret this small purch
