This app was a life savor!! It was spot on at every moment, didn’t require WiFi, and the guide was funny, historical, and entertaining. Totally worth it!!!! (If the actual guide is reading this a mongoose passed right in front of us after the spiel lol)

However almost every segment either the first few words or the last few words were cut off. Made it rather annoying at times.

This app was fantastic for our family! It helped pass the time, especially on the way back when a little car sickness was threading. We learned so much about the history of Hawaii and all of the amazing things offered on the way to Hana.

We were visiting Maui and decided we’d try the road to Hana. I had read about this app on other blogs and travel reviews. Hands down this was fantastic and we had the best experience of any of our self guided road trips. The gps narration was flawless and the narrator terrific with a great delivery, humor, and a wealth of information not only about the sights but the history as well. If you’re doing the road to Hana this is a must have companion.

This was a wonderful companion down the road to Hana. I love the must-do stops and other pro tips along the way. There was also some fascinating history on the route back. Worked offline with no glitches. I can’t imagine doing the drive without it.

Just plain great. Helped with the trip out and “kept us company” on the way back. Highly recommend, worth every penny of the 15 bucks.

I would highly recommend this app if you’re going to drive the road to Hana on your own. The narrator was super knowledgeable and funny. We wouldn’t have known to have stopped and looked at half of the things to see without this app. We also loved history lesson at the end!!!

This app was mentioned on a YouTube video I watched about the Road to Hana. It is a must! I mean must! The app is easy to use, super directional with lots of tips on what to see in order of importance , when to park and then to boot gives you excellent commentary. If you take a tour guide in a pack full of people, you are crazy. Do this in the peacefulness of your own car at your own rate.

Amazing tour guide.

I bought this based on a friend’s recommendation, and was very skeptical of it to begin with. But it turned out to be amazing. It parapets when you are close to the Hana Highway explains things in details. App tells the story associated with various pointes of interest. It was a long drive, and the app tells stories of Hawai’i history while returning to keep you awake. I will buy future apps. In my opinion, a must have.

We loved the Gypsy Road to Hana app. We used it for our recent visit and found it to be extremely informative, easy to use and entertaining. I don’t know how we would have known where to stop without the app. We also learned a lot about the Road to Hana and Hawaiian history. It really was like having a tour guide in our car. Well worth the $14.99 !

Totally worth the money. We did the RTH today and this was amazing. All the inside info you need, along with driving etiquette reminders were super helpful navigating the one-lane bridges. The history of the Hawaiian Islands on the way back was incredible as well. I feel like we made a new friend in the jeep - very down to earth, soothing and enjoyable. Thanks for the time and effort it took to put this together!

Incredible tour guide that made the trip. Don’t go on the road to Hana without this! Worth every penny. The tour guide is very entertaining and gives you a ton of information for every stop, he also gives you the must do 5 stops and it works without cell signal because you wont have cell service. Get this app!

Loved hearing about all the stops on the road to Hana along with the history of the Hawaiian islands!

Someone tipped us off to this app. It was the best way to drive the Road to Hana. Everything was perfect from telling about the courtesy at the single-lane bridges, to the not-to-miss stops, to the tip to eat at the Fish Market in Paia- the best meal we had in Maui. The history on the return trip was very interesting too.

Y’all, seriously, you have to get this app. There was a big group of us from 9-80 years old in 3 different vehicles. This app was so incredible. It kept the drivers calm, led us right to where we needed to go and even where we didn’t need to waste time. We took the whole Hana loop and absolutely loved the humor, advice, and history. And, as the driver, I liked the drink my passengers treated me too when we got back to the resort (great suggestion GyPsy). You will NOT regret this small purch

My wife and I took the Road to Hana guide and loved it! The tour guide was smart, informative, witty and funny. I honestly think he was better than any in-person guide we could have hired. He was our “travel companion” for 9 full hours and he didn’t disappoint. Strongly recommend this app for anyone taking the road to Hana.

Absolutely the best guided tour we have ever used. Great information about must dos, possible skips, awareness of time constraints and directions. Saves us! We had watch You Tubes and done some homework, but this picked it all together! Plus the history and side stories were invaluable on the way home. Bravo!

I read some blogs to prepare for my first drive on the road to Hana. This app did not disappoint! It helped ups navigate and prepare for stops along the way. We would have missed so many wonderful opportunities without the guide. I’m so glad I purchased it. The ride back is tiring and the stories about the history of Maui helped keep us awake and and entertained. I highly recommend purchasing this!

This is a wonderful guide that gives great highlights and information about the Road to Hana. Very innovative as it tracks your location by GPS and alerts you to viewpoints, waterfalls, parks and safe parking locations. Narrator has a great voice. Be sure to listen on the way home and learn more about the history of Hana and Hawaii. So we glad used this app even though we have made this trip multiple times.

This app made our Road to Hana experience smoother. We were overwhelmed with trying not to miss important sights or stops and couldn’t find a good map or picture on the internet. My husband and I found this app indispensable during our trip down the Hana Hwy. It gave precise directions about where to stop and visit or simply pull over for a view and which sites were must-see vs which we could skip completely, save for a later visit, or include if we had extra time. It also helped pass the the long drive with interesting historical and cultural information about both Hawaii in general and Maui and Hana specifically.

The stories and educational aspects paired with the gps guidance was amazing. We would have missed so many great spots without it. 100% recommend for anyone on the road to Hana.

The map was a necessary as there is no service for most of the journey, the guide gave exacting directions on where to pull off, turn and direct your gaze throughout the tour. The little tidbits of Hawaiian history also made the drive more interesting. Highly recommend!!

This app for road to Hana was awesome. You probably get more info from this than a paid tour. He answered questions right after I was thinking them. The ride was awesome using the app. There is no better way to ride to Hana than without using this tool. Well worth the 10 dollars. I would of paid $50 dollars knowing what I know now.
