I absolutely love this app. I have been visiting roadside America when is was just a website before apps existed. RA makes all of our trips fun and memorable!
I geocache too so a lot of times the 2 apps take me to fun places. I have used it all over the US and parts of Canada. Thanks.
We use this for funny fun side trips when traveling. All this entertainment for under $10. How fun!
I love this app that my grandson found! We now explore nearby sites but off the main drag that offer art, history and more with little or no inconvenience. Love it!
This well designed, easy to navigate app is a must have for anyone living in, visiting, or having any interested whatsoever in the U.S. of A!
This is the best app to make a family road trip wacky fun! Whether it’s the shoe shaped house or Captain Kirk’s future birthplace, the most humdrum trip is so much better with a few mind bending stops.
There are so many obscure interesting places and sites to see in this app. Absolutely amazing. Thank you
Plan to take time and travel around the USA with this app. This app is a must for road trips, vacations, and adventures. Outstanding!
We’ve used this app for years while traveling around the US. We’ve seen so many neat, unique things because of Roadside America. The app is easy to search, the information and pictures about each place make them easy to find. With this app are able to appreciate each location even more. We recommend Roadside America to everyone we talk to about travel.
I really enjoy the amount of attractions offered, but it’s very difficult to make sure I don’t miss anything interesting. I would LOVE if you would make the map work so that when I scroll around, it shows all the attractions. Having to push the “show attractions in this area” only shows attractions local to the center of the screen, and I miss many. It would also really help to open the app and have the map appear directly. I would also like a search function. If, for example, I want to fi
I use to ❤️ this app! Every time we traveled & went anywhere, I always went to my app faithfully. I just got a new phone again & went 2 download my app & am having nothing but issues! I have paid for the app several years ago. Every time I got a new phone I’ve never had an issue reloading the app. Can someone please fix the issue … this is a great app & lots of fun to use when traveling on the road! Makes it less BORING to travel!! 🙏🏼
It’s so much fun to find roadside attractions for my kid to check off!
Just got the app and rediscovered both of these Quirky Stops. Enjoyed them both and I’m looking forward to many more stops in the future.
Whether you travel a little or a lot, this is a fun app to find offbeat info.
I have used this app for years, i was just singing its praises to a friend and stated “the quality of my life is better because of roadside America.” It crossed my mind that posting a review is probably in order because I’ve had such a wonderful experience with it so far. It makes trips more fun and you discover so many hidden gems that you wouldn’t know about otherwise. I recommend it to anyone moving to a new area or those would love to road trip around. Pay the full price to open up all of th
I’ve been using the Roadside America App for years now and love it. If you road trip regularly, the all access package for the whole US is worth it! It’s so fun to pull up the map and see the pins of what’s near me. Love the feature that lets me pull up the directions in Apple or Google Maps. Happy travels!
I used the free section for several years, then started traveling around the country. I bought the rest of the national sections. They are as odd, offbeat and fun as the northeast. I don’t get to use RoadsideAmerica as often as I’d like, but I like it as often as I use it.
I was hoping this app could notify me of upcoming attractions-as is, it requires too much “hands on” use Not helpful to a single traveler
I purchased all regions for $6.99 but was charged $24.99. 5/29/2022 update There was a problem on the billing process. I’m changing my rating since the app is great and the developer has been very responsive. Excellent app.
Great app that I use all the time!!!!
Be aware, your initial purchase of the app only gives you a region of the United States. Not the full country. To get the full United States you have to pay additional.
If you're the kind of person who likes to stop and look at interesting stuff during long road trips, this is THE app for you. It's well worth the value, and has such a huge library of roadside attractions and other cool things to see along the way.
Would be so much better if it gave you directions or distance to a plotted route... constantly looking up locations on a map to see if they are behind us or not. “Directions not available” which means I have to constantly replay my location!!!
This is the reason I own an iPad. All of my other devices are android but this is not available on android. What more needs to be said. Effectively I paid over $400 for this app. I do long road trips. A short trip is 3 weeks. As long as 6.
Wishing I had known about this years ago. We love to Road Trip and find goofy things. This has been great.
This is so much fun for adults and kids alike. Huge fans of finding “local” places & sites that locals don’t know about. ;)
A must have, if you are into weird quirky things, but don’t have the time to wander, this is the app for you. A great list of roadside attractions and how to find them. I use it constantly. GET IT!
I’d love the ability to write logs for roadside stops and add pictures to the logs! Would also love to be able to follow my friends and see their feeds :)
Need a scavenger hunt, looking for something to do at home or while killing time till your flight home, interested in the offbeat? This app is for you. Enjoy.
When you consider that this app is constantly being updated, the $6.99 to unlock everything is very reasonable. We enjoy finding unique and quirky things, so this app has been a fabulous resource. Keep up the good work!
I found it very misleading that you have to purchase the app and do not have access to the whole US. I would have preferred the app cost the full price and have access to the entire country.
We love seeing the unusual and forgotten attractions. Great job.
This app is great!! No matter where we drive, there are cool things to see and places to visit. We have used it in 30 states and counting!! It
Love to use this to find weird little spots to check out. I
Used this years ago and looking forward to exploring more post Covid.
Brilliant, hilarious and always intriguing! Roadside America will definitely keep up your credentials as an eccentric & thinker.
You can use the Roadside America website for free, but the website’s user interface and usability is so terrible that the app—which is vastly more user friendly—is money well spent and better facilitates spontaneity.
This app really helps you either plan your trip, or search for spontaneous distractions from the weary road.
We use it traveling all over the US. Never disappoints. And you can add your comments and photos to keep it relevant. Worth every cent!
Love to sit and browse through this site. So fun
We have traveled to 49 states and cross-crossed the county a few times. No app has consistently proved more worthwhile tips than this one. It makes our travels much more fun and memorable.
My wife and I keep it on when traveling. It’s not uncommon for us to detour to see some fantastic or weird posting from the app. We are addicted!

The app was fun at first, but crashes an freezes so often than it’s unreliable and I’ve moved on. Fun while it lasted!
It’s a $10 app to have all access not $6.99...not very clear about that
Fun app, but you have to pay extra to access any region other than the one first selected. As an RV-er traveling around the county, I had to pay for all 5 regions. There are apps and google searches that do this for free.
