11 Positive User Reviews for Roadtrippers
Almost perfect
Absolutely love this app. It has been invaluable in discovering sights, hikes and camping spots along a route. With the paid subscription, I can still see my planned route and navigate even when I’m in a spot with no cell service. The one annoying thing that I wish the app developers would fix: If I want to add an activity in the middle of a route that I’ve already planned out, there is no way to insert a day and have the remainder of the trip adjust automatically. I have to manually go in and
Fun but needs tweaking
I use this app for taking motorcycle rides. We like to go on “scenic” routes and this helps but you need to toggle between “no highways” and “highways” to find some of the roads less traveled. Trying to share with others today who don’t subscribe and customer service was good responding to my request. If you like to see things along the way, this is a great app! Recognize with gas stops most people average 35-50 mph so time can be way longer than suggested. Plus if you take time to look at stuf

Software is a bit hard to navigate
Not user friendly
hard to use
Not user-friendly when you’re only looking for gas stations and restaurants along the interstate.
Great App!
For all your planning needs and map navigation, this app is extremely helpful. It provides details about gas costs, mileages and has no short of locations to choose from. We recently discovered that we can put the height of our camper in the app and it also has navigation! Great tool for travelling with a camper.
Poor handling of dates
I regret paying to upgrade. Roadtrippers no longer allows you to define multi day stays. Even worse is that when you add a date it reshuffles the rest of your itinerary.
Previous versions gave you control of this, it was a dumb idea to change it.
I won’t be renewing my subscription if this is not changed.
Auto renewed without consent
I did the 7 day trial, and didn’t like it. After 1 day I went to delete my profile and it said that deleting the profile wouldn’t stop the subscription, and that I had to do this via apple. So that’s what i did. I canceled via apple/subscriptions. Well, Roadtrippers auto subscribed me for the most expensive plan after 7 days anyway. $59!! I wrote them an email. Let’s see if they fix this. Will update if they do.
UPDATE: They kindly refunded me, and I am grateful. Their customer support gave me
Could be better
I used to use ToGo for navigation in my RV but they switched to this. A couple features that I miss was the simple way to plug in your destination and go with your pre setup vehicle without having to input all the data again. The other thing I miss was the ability to put a towed vehicle with the RV so that it routed you through better areas as well as giving the speed limit in certain areas for vehicles that are towing. It would be nice to have the app remember recent places to make it faster th

Too expensive
I’ve had this app for a few years and every time I open it, I see my trips are locked for a ransom upgrade. This app started at roughly 30 bucks a year and now you want $55. Besides that, I haven’t seen any new features of worth. You can use atlas Obscura for free, quirky roadside attractions and Wanderlog for trip planning. Sorry guys, you need to up your game
Don’t bother
I uninstalled this app after a couple of attempts to plan a road trip. Not very user friendly.
Bait and Switch
After 5 years of using Roadtrippers with over 20 trips saved to my account, last month they both took my renewal money and locked me out of 18 of my trips and limited the trip I was planning to less waypoints.
My renewal is now called s Basic level which gives the user essentially nothing-less than the free version provided 5 years ago. We will be renewing the program to the higher level to download our locked trips from years past and then be dropping the app. Sad, it was a good value and easy
