The premise of this app is great. I went all in on the gaming features the first year of having the app, but despite not maximizing the app these days, I get exactly what news I need every day — enough to know what’s going on in the world. Unbiased, fact-only news from a small team passionate about changing the toxic news cycle. 5/5 for Roca.

My app has been stuck on Saturday 10/11 all day and it’s not refreshing or updating. Also, your graphics and pictures often don’t match the captions and news articles or are off by a slide.

They receive compliments and complaints of bias from both sides equally, leading me to believe that they are in the area where they want to be. The middle.

This is the best news app I could ask for. It keeps me informed without the endless doomscrolling, and I really appreciate that the Roca team prioritizes clear, non-biased reporting. I actually look forward to reading the news now! My husband and I go through it together every day — the polls and trivia always spark great conversations. Roca makes staying up-to-date both enjoyable and meaningful, and the random deep dives into history and lesser-known world events are a fun bonus. Highly recomme

RocaNews provides just the right amount of well balanced, unbiased news reporting. The three maxes story is both incredible and inspiring. It provides a well-rounded variety of stories to both educate and enlighten.

I used to love this app and open it every single day. It was my go to for news and learning my daily things. But recently my favorite segment, happy hour news, has been put behind a paywall. Hence making me delete the app. Happy hour news is my FAVORITE aspect of rocanews, but now that I can't see it without paying, I see no point in even having the app.

Love their content and what they cover. They explore different regions of the USA as well as all over the globe. They also cover major headlines without the vitriol and opinion garbage that you get with legacy media.just straight facts and you get to decide from there.

App crashes a lot. I make sure my app is updated and it still closes the app before finished with all of the content.

It’s simple and quick. The trivia and polls are fun. So far, not biased. I like it.

News finally done right, with interesting points and all facts. Your mind will take some time getting use to not being led to an opinion but it’s worth the journey to finally making your own.

I have loved Roca since I first saw a post from them on Instagram years ago. I immediately signed up for the newsletter and read it daily. As soon as I was eligible to download the beta app I did and I have only missed one day since downloading the app. I am currently on a 390 day streak.

I love Roca. It is as unbiased as any news outlet could be. I don’t always have time to read everything, but I can always go back and read what I’ve missed. If only I could send it to my peeps with androids

This app is very easy to navigate, presents the stories/polls/trivia in an organized way, and it flows well. In a word, it is “smooth”. I will NEVER go back to the other partisan, angry news sources. The Roca App is my go-to for news! Stories are short and sweet, to the point. Very well written. I enjoy my Roca every day.

So much news is called “unbiased” but are obviously not(from one side or the other). These guys are the real deal.

I like the way the news is written and displayed but I would like to see more news and fewer game-like features. I just wanna read the news y’all. This kinda stuff is why we’re all losing our minds. I’m on the free trial now. If you simply provided news without the extra stuff I would subscribe to your app. With all these extra distractions, I will not subscribe. Hit me up if you decide to change the format. Thanks!

Relevant, sometimes fun news source that informs you on real life events that can impact you. Excellent news source, something I use multiple times a day.

I’ve been enjoying this app but would like to read the content on a larger screen, so an iPad app would be appreciated. One that could even be installed on the Mac.

The app runs well. In terms of content, I am half and half. The group claims objectivity, but also reports on subjects that often tend to seem right leaning. But this could be objectivity. I trust them more than any other media source.

Great news covering and quick to review.

Roca has what I’ve seen to be as the most unfiltered news source. The Roca editors push out informative and fun articles coupled with fun mini games and even a seasonal deep dive into topics like Greek mythology and all the events leading up to the Great War. The Roca app has pretty much replaced all the social media news sources I’d used, and my only criticism is they don’t have more daily stories, only about 6 or 7 per day.

This app is a great way to stay informed on key world events and light-hearted news stories. I don’t really care much for the “game-y” aspect of the app, but I really do enjoy the stories they put out. Everything is in an easily digestible, unbiased format. There’s no spin, they just put out the information.

I recently subscribed - and it’s so worth the extra features, even if only to support such a great team. I’ll trim my spending on something less worthwhile. Roca news is the best, and the app is dope! No regrets.

I do t like the game-like feel. I’d prefer simple news and pictures.

This is the only app you need for news. So informative, thorough and unbiased.

Not all apps are perfect but there are some glitches that never get patched. There’s a situation where I complete a story on the Greek story line but my quiz exp never got given to me since it never allowed me to complete it. I finish the quiz then it’ll take ages to get to the exp part but I don’t get any exp. I just get 0. I don’t really know how to get in with the customer service team, and I don’t know if this is a recurring issue or it’s just me. App is dope tho.

Since the last update, pictures won’t display in the app. Articles have a homepage photo, but nothing once in the article. There are no pictures for any of the other tiles like globe trotter or others, so you can’t play the ones dependent on using a picture to guess. So sad, I love this app. Please fix soon!

This is a nice app for a quick overview of daily news and I actually kind of like the gamification style. It keeps things interesting at least. My only complaint is that the content can be a bit sports heavy, but I may be biased as I don't really care much for sports news.

I’ve used this app for years since it was in beta, and over time even the most basic features became paywalled. The reporting is mostly great, but the app has become unusable for anyone who can’t afford to pay - which goes against the ethos they have communicated.

I used the app for news almost everyday. I fell off the app for a good while only to return to to see that every thing that was great about the app is now behind a pay wall. Going forward I can see myself using occasionally but unfortunately not consistently.

This used to be an awesome app, unbiased news in a nice readable and quick format. But now everything is locked behind a paywall. And I get it, you have to make money somehow. I just wish they’d go back to the old way and add in ads to offset the cost

I generally enjoy the app as a news source. Lately, however, the app crashes constantly and I can’t read past the first page. Doesn’t matter if I’m using WiFi or data. None of my other apps have this issue so I know it’s a Roca problem.

You can play for free and max out your score .. but you’re handicapped from advancing and even demoted unless you pay the premium. In fairness, you can still play for free.. for now.. but we know what
