10 Positive User Reviews for Rogue Touch

Love it!

I picked this up a week ago, and love it! Not only have I not won, but I haven’t even come close. But my defeats have been glorious. If I could add one feature, it would be the ability to go back up a floor. I usually die because I clear a level and am forced lower and lower before I’ve had time to really armor myself up. Being able to ascend dungeon levels would let me spend some more time getting stronger before heading into more danger.

Like meeting an old friend

I first played this game in the early eighties. It’s plays better with all of the TLC this version has. The Amulet of Yendor is still on level 26, just like the old days. This is a steal foe $2.99. I do very few reviews, just five stars and one stars. Enjoy the game!

Love it but still has the lost stairs bug

Love it and have been playing it for several years. I like the upgrade, but just hit the most annoying bug from the old version - a level without stairs. No choice but to restart.

Still a Classic

I have played this game, in one form or another, for years and will continue to play as long as the developer maintains it. I am so grateful to him for the most recent update. I had put it down for a while, because it had become crashy. Now it’s like returning to an old friend. Cheers Kevin!

Retro and wonderful

I spent far too much time playing Rogue in college and graduate school, and was thrilled to find this iPhone version. Although this version replaces the glowing green ASCII-character “art” with modern graphics, it staunchly maintains the character of the original game. End-of-the-Boom Boomers like me should welcome this blast from the past, as will presumably younger fans of _Ready Player One_. Well worth the $3, and I hope the developer is encouraged to continue his work.

It’s Rogue

I mean, it’s Rogue, my guy. It’s on iPhone. That’s all we need.

Amazing

I am now 17 years old and I used to play this game when I was 6 years old and have been playing consistently since then. It has remained in my heart forever and I love it.

Profoundly Compelling!

I loved Rogue when it was an ASCII game on a single-color monitor. This update preserves the very best of original Rogue with appropriately cool and simple graphics, more sophistication to items, monsters, environment, and strategy. Best of both worlds! Thank you for creating Rogue Touch! This is exactly the game I wanted for my phone!

Fantastic

I love this game. Been playing on and off for over a year. Great adaptation!

Great version of Rouge

This is probably one of my favorite games. Grew up playing the old Mac version of Rogue and RogueTouch is the best modern version I’ve found. No bugs to speak of, no adds, great gameplay, and a support website with all the info you would ever need. Also lots of fun extras like secret characters and new weapons. Has leaderboards but I find they don’t always update. No biggy though. If you liked playing the old Macintosh version of rogue you’re going to love this.
