When I got my rode wireless me I tried to connect it to the app but it kept saying it needed to update and never loaded. I had to connect both devices to my pc and update with the app there. Now the app works how it should on my phone, it just never wanted to update at the start.

You need an app for laptops. I give my mic to my instructor to use during lectures. I use my tablet at the same time for other things.

I downloaded the Rode Central App on my phone right after I received my microphones and it told me I had to update firmware of my microphone on a desktop. I then went on my laptop, connected the microphone only to find that I’m not able to download the app. That’s it’s only for iPhone or IPad. I paid good money for these headphones and now I can’t fully utilize their capabilities… please help. Thanks.

I don’t understand all the negative reviews. It’s a basic app and it works. The UI could be brought into the 21st century but other than that it works fine.

I used to be able to get my microphones to connect to my phone. Not now. I know you have to have the special USB-C to lightning cable that costs a ridiculous amount of money in order to connect the road wireless go to your phone. What a pain and now it’s not working at all. I updated the firmware on my computer for all three devices and I still cannot connect to my phone. I’m not sure if I can connect. To anything at all? I wonder how many design and app designers at Rode are actual filmmakers. I ask because actual filmmakers shouldn’t TX and RX devices to a phone, tablet or computer just to make a settings change. Further regarding the iPad app, how many filmmakers use their iPads in portrait orientation?

App gives some ability to control mics and receivers, although not much more than can be done on the devices themselves. IMO the main function of this app should be to get audio files recorded internally onto the device you are using, and there is no way to do that. Major oversight.

For the love of god, please update the app so I can pull the audio files from my RØDE Wireless Pro and Go II mics!
