SameBoy – Game Boy Emulator App Reviews

The turbo feature does not work. Not that big a deal but I have to swipe my finger on the screen to turbo. How do I fix this?

Replicates the game boy feel completely.

It’s good but it says it has a gba mode and for some reason it won’t play gba roms maybe it’s a glitch for me but like it’s still a good emulator

Controller is spelled incorrectly in one of the tips. Other than that, this emulator is perfection. :D edit: Also, some indie titles may become unplayable if you rewind too many times. If this happens, simply delete & reload the rom into the emulator & try not to rewind. CHEERS!

I’m dead serious. The emulation and video settings are extensive and immaculate, the rewind feature is super intuitive and useful, and it’s amazing for casual play. 11/5 stars

Fix it on the iPad app the buttons are on the screen and you can’t press them without pressing the screen and it brings up the menu and you can’t even play it although for my phone it’s amazing.

Basically the reason I got this emulator was to play on the Apple Watch, but every time I import the game into the iPhone, it does not import into the watch do you know how to fix this? Or like how to import the rom into a watch?

So I put some Original Gameboy and Gameboy Color games but when I tried Gameboy Advance games, it kept saying “not in ROM archive” ís there an explanation for this?

I use this almost exclusively for Gen 1&2 pokemon games. With the LCD filter on it is as close to the feeling of playing them on their original consoles as you could hope for. Sometimes I can’t hold the B button and use the the D pad at the same time, but i usually use the fast forward feature so it’s not too big of an issue.

Payments = cringe Especially for an emulator

How do I download games I’m getting bored of Spiderman and mortal kombat

I love all the gesture features for quick saving and fast forward, much better than having a dedicated button on screen taking up space or having to open a menu. Also it’s nice to have more options compared to Delta, which is a little barebones. Currently however, the import rom feature doesn’t seem to be working right. I can still add roms by sharing them to the app through Files though.

I will put it plainly: Let Delta run the consoles; the Boy belongs here! Solid and streamlined emulator. Seamless file adding, instant auto save, and a wide variety of options. Plus rumble on almost everything! Plus Backbone support, which previously didn't work but was quickly patched. So many great things to say. I won't even make a request like "oh dev, add gba too please". That's not what this app is for. (Unless the dev is working on it!)

So I was able to load some GameBoy and GBC games onto here and it does feel a bit superior to Delta. However, it won’t let me add any new games since they’re locked to Delta or something and I’m not able do the sharing thing to open it up in SameBoy. So not sure what else to do as I do want to load more games on here.

Look no further for Game Boy and/or Game Boy Color emulation. SameBoy is the most accurate emulator for both systems. It’s a pretty mature project as well, having surpassed Gambatte quite a while ago. Delta—which uses the Gambatte core—can’t compete with the color accuracy modes and palettes that are present on SameBoy.

I’ve been using SameBoy on macOS for years. Absolutely amazing to have it on my iPhone now. The emulation quality is fantastic. Only thing I can suggest is GameBoy Printer support for the GameBoy/Pocket Camera games. 🖨️📷

I love this emulator! I switched because of Delta’s constantly glitched out audio with the buzzing. But, I wish there were cheat codes, I need them for a mapping project I’m working on. I know cheat codes are supported on the PC version, so if they ever get added to the iOS version too, I’ll give 5 stars!

This is definitely the best GB and GBC Emulator and it plays GBA aswell for GBA tho I prefer to use the XGBA Emulator Then This One For GB And GBC roms I have one question tho Can The Dev Explain To Me How This Has Been Integrated With Homebrew Hub What Do U Mean By That Exactly??
