Loving the latest update. Workflow is smooth. Starting to prefer it to AUM.
Wanted to love this app until I hit a major snag: clips when manually triggered were out of synch. If I understand it correctly, a clip should wait its turn before playing and not simply start even if in the middle of playing another clip. Or at least offer the option to play when triggered or wait till one clip finishes playing. Also needs more detailed instructions.
Query- is there any randomisation feature been added? If, only, if, a certain semi-generative function and/or a sequence or pattern based on scale is only introduced, No one, in the iOS world, would never ever bother to even consider another sequencer app, no auv3 is needed, it’s absolutely stable and easy enough to deal with. Forget Auv3, it’d only put tremendous stress on the developer. If it runs smoothly in AUM / ApeMatrix, that’s just over the top feature anyway. Beautiful interface,
Sand is a fast way to get an idea going, right on your phone. It’s compact design lets you put together a really nice groove. It’s deep enough to allow you to get something really polished going though too.
Just wow! This is refreshingly simple and complexity is easily accessible with long click. A lot of complexity is built into auv3 apps these days. This app is opening up iOS to my drum and bass productions of any sort! I’m in love with my excessive synth and fx collection (bordering on gluttonous actually)… I’ve been looking for an easy sequencer and this seems to be it! I hope the author keeps developing and fixing this gem! This is totally worth your time!
The best thing about Sand is its simple yet deep interface. There’s so much you can do with it. Excited for new updates. Would love to see some of the Polyend Play style random/chance abilities in the clips… that would be a total game changer! Thanks for making this app.
Ok, so I'm dumb! I'm a very slow learner and still figuring it out, BUT, this thing is a blast!!! Just kick back, experiment and plug in ANY AUV3 effect into any app and see what happens!! Brings back the fun in these technical products. Hint: (Try playing an organ clip (Loop) and plug Looperator (Sugarbytes) in as an effect. Hang onto your butts! "Shazamm! What was that????"
This app is great. Quickly had a beat going in no time, no instructions needed. I love it!
This developer really understands workflow. I can’t recommend this app enough. Worth every penny.
Rapid yet thoughtful. Simple yet feature-filled.
I have been playing with music on IOS for a LONG time, released multiple albums produced on iPads, etc.. I primarily produce on hardware now but I just got a new iPhone and wanted to see what can be done on the smaller screen. This is perfect. I can utilize all the old plugins I’ve collected through the years in new fast, creative ways and it works and looks GREAT on my little iPhone screen. Really good app.
Just keeps getting better and better. Just get it.
It’s a very nice app, I wish it had some sequencer for patterns and automation curves, but it’s good anyway. One critical note though. The note editor needs improvements, specifically pattern length adjustment, incremental value by 1 is kinda crazy, I know there is length presets in the pattern settings, but that’s not cool, better have them in the note editor as well. Also I’m not sure, may be I missed that, is there a snapping for note length stretch?
Sometimes it’s the simplicity of an interface and the practicality of what you leave out of an app that makes it far easier and more enjoyable to create on. After purchasing and using so many sequencer and DAW apps, I’ve finally found one that lets me make music effortlessly. And don’t be fooled by its simplicity. Underneath the hood is a workstation that does so much when you need it to. And the roadmap and openness from the developer to suggestions mean it’s only going to get better.
i love this app, but i wish it had a return to zero button so you can know where you are in the loop before you start recording.
Other than that, tis good
Please add the Triplet Time Signatures: 3/4, 6/8.
Excited to see where this is going… (hope it still is going!)
Needs a few things but definitely has the clear vision from the looks of it. Much needed app for iOS, stoked to see where it goes!
This would be a great tool on my iPhone, but I would really love to see it be more accessible towards us consumers who do not like updating their phones. Hopefully the OS requirement can be lowered in the future! 🙏🏼
I like that the clips can all be different lengths. It’s nice to not be chained in by the global settings of some apps.
Would be great to have midi channels for instruments and export to midi file.
As we have heard the developer is going to be adding needed features, but it’s a great start. Has potential to be best iOS sequencer ever. Love it. Please add deep piano roll note editing, song mode, ect. Stem support. The missing features are obvious but developer promises these updates. This has the most potential of almost any iOS pro music app Great app. Get it now before he rightfully raises the price. Of course hopefully we get grandfathered in. No subscriptions!!! Love the app. Even wi
This has so much potential to be one of the baddest fastest beat creation on the market. Keep pushing and still keeping it simple and powerful. Great work. This might be my first music review ever. 👍🏾
The sequencer does exactly what I’ve always wanted AUM to do and this app finally does it. The interface is a bit wonky at first but once you learn how it’s all laid out it’s easy to use. But it really needs support for Bluetooth headphones. Update that and this is a 5 star app at this price.
Feature requests that would make this 5 stars: * allow selection of multiple notes in the sequencer. * consider a separate lane for midi control of fx plugins. * a proper mixer view I also experienced a couple crashes. iPad Pro, iOS 15.2 (might need to update iOS).
I like clip-based but not overly complicated sequencers. I like the roadmap / feature request site. The devs accessibility and response are among the best of any iOS music dev. As far as I’m concerned, this one’s a winner! Keep an eye on the Version History - there’s more to come!
Phenomenal. Can’t wait to see how this develops from here. Does exactly what I need it to with promise of much more in the future. If you’ve struggled with midi recorder or drambo or don’t like Note’s lack of interfacing with AUV3, work this into the setup. You’ll be presently surprised. Great work Matteo!
I love this, I am not to smart when it comes to midi use but was able to get things going with ease and my creative flow became nourished. I like this app a lot and look forward to watching it grow. Very fun to use as well.
