11 Positive User Reviews for Santorini Board Game
Great mobile version
This game is great and the mobile adaptation is solid. Love it!
Wonderful Implementation!
This app is a near-flawless implementation of the fantastic board game on which it is based. It is beautiful and elegant. I have played the app off and on for years, and I still find new things to learn. Santorini is a much deeper and more nuanced game than many given it credit for.
Minus 1/2 star because I have occasional crashes, which are frustrating.
Minus 1/2 star because there is no random player order. I hate resetting a match just to change start order. Please add a random first play
Tutorials don’t work
The implementation of the board game is pretty fine but I was disappointed to find that all the links to the tutorials don’t work. The timer just spins and spins. It’s been so long since an update that it seems that maybe there are no plans to keep the app up to date. If you like the game and want to play against an AI this is fine but just know that you won’t have access to the tutorials. I don’t know if the game will continue to be playable over time without updates. It also looks as if the li
Almost perfect
The app has a beautiful interface. The game is simply fantastic. however, the app crashes every once in a while, when I’m playing an opponent—one of my friends—online. If that could be fixed, and if they added a save mode, so you could play the same match throughout the day, rather than having to finish the game right away when you start (if you leave the app for longer than 20 seconds or so, it kicks you out and ends the match), this app would be perfect!
Amazing!
An excellent digital implementation for my favorite game. The amount of detail surprises me (especially for a board game app). I don’t play online, but it’s a great way to pick gods (and regulate matchups as it doesn’t select banned matchups) or pass the time against the AI when I’m not playing the actual game with friends. There is so much to explore and so many ways to play this really simple yet insanely deep game 10/10 give it a try!
Love the game but it keeps crashing
I am obsessed with the board game. I burnt my husband out on it though so I had to download it on my phone and play against the AI to quench my addiction. Unfortunately the game keeps crashing, usually when the game is only a few moves from completion. It's incredibly frustrating. I've tried restarting my phone, closing all apps, etc. I don't know what to do to fix it but it's very frustrating.
Love it, wish for just a little more help
As resident board game geek in my house, it is useful learning as well as humbling to be able to play against the AI after playing the physical board game with my family.
I do wish the helper portion of the game had a map section that would track your piece movement play whenever you are using a god who would otherwise be using the shield/hidden map options (e.g. Hecate). I know you can play a parallel 2 human game on your phone to track things in the board game but I would prefer not to have

Fix Difficulty
Given that we have no choice for picking a character in the campaign mode (odyssey)...don’t make each level expert level.
Or provide difficulty options.
Otherwise, like me, it will be 15 games played and every one lost resulting in the game being deleted and no interest in your in-app purchases.
Frustrate the player = no repeat business
AI tough & No pickup games
Odessy mode is ridiculously tough for a 1:1 game against AI. I’m 8-10 games with a straight loss on novice mode. Tried to do a pickup game online to play a human and never could find one (not enough traffic)? Game will end up being deleted if I don’t not get creamed by the novice AI every game.
Tutorial doesn’t work
The hourglass just keeps going round & round. I left iPad for 30 min & it was still doing that upon my return. What gives?
I’ll pay more for an undo button! Argh!
Beautiful game, but terrible for learning. No undo, no turn-by-turn review, no way to learn from mistakes. It feels impossible to improve because one mistake 5 turns ago can lose the game, but there’s no way to go back and study it. Needs a rewind/replay feature badly.
