Love it! But…..
**Edited** they developer responded to me and just told me that they put the signal boobies into the oceans around the beginning of July so that makes much more sense! Thank you for the information!
I’m in the Cape and I have used this app for years however, there really haven’t been any
Pings or sightings that I can see this season and I mean..I’m in the Cape lol, you know they’re here 🤣

Tells you every thing you need to know
I love this app!
I love looking at this app daily during the summer. I love the photos, and information provided on the tagged sharks we have on the Massachusetts coast.
Unreliable alerting
Alerts are sporadic at best.
I check it everyday
I look at the shark activity before I go swimming. The app is great, love the names and pics

Always enjoy the real time information provided by the Sharktivity app
Looking for more Info
Is there a way to track an individual shark? Like Lee Beth 2 years ago who went from Gulf of Mexico to Canada, but then seemed to disappear?
Or get measurements when a satellite or bouy ping hits to see size and gender, then track previous hits?
Good app but one issue
This app is so awesome. I love it. Two things I will say to make it 6 stars. One is maybe expand to west coast or south like Texas. That would be so cool and this app would be the GOAT if that could happen. I love this app still and thank you for if you did that. It’s fine if you can’t do that.
From Ryder.
Shark information
Great up to date information
Fantastic
Excellent updates!
Not only great whites
I love this app but I wish it showed me all types of sharks instead of showing only great whites. Becuse I would and think most people would like to know about the different types of sharks, in case they are in their waters.
Don’t turn on notifications
Updated app has a lot of nice features.
App of the Summer for Cape Codders
As someone who grew up summering on the Cape, I’ve witnessed the influx of sharks over the last several years. Being able to see shark sightings through this app is so cool! Love the work AWSC is doing in the community and appreciate that the data is publicly available for all of us ocean lovers. Clicking in to different sharks in the area to see their recent sightings and corresponding photos is one of my favorite, unexpected features. I know I’ll be opening this app a lot this summer!
Could use improvements…
The push notifications seem to be very hit or miss… I download this app a week or so ago and yesterday was the first time getting notifications. One more today but not all sightings come through, including one from one of our local beaches yesterday. Also would be good to have distance shown in notifications. And on the map would be nice to have some sort of indicator as to the most recent sightings … maybe numbered icons as an option?
Fascinating
A super informative app, with up to the minute notifications, all with great attention to accuracy. Because the sharks are tagged and you know where they are, they become fascinating as opposed to fearsome, and their names are truly hilarious. I’m grateful.
Good
I like this app because I love the beach but I’m SO ducking AFRAID OF SHARKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I kinda freak out when clicking the buttons😅😅. I live MASS which is connected to cape cod🙂 BUT there’s SO SO SO SO SO MANY SHARKS THERE. I Don’t actually use this app anymore b/c I got so scared clicking the shark buttons😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

Mr
Old format was much better, this one is hard to navigate
Not accurate
Every year I open the app it shows the same sharks in the same places. So I decided to open it on February 1st and it showed the same sharks in the same places
Dead Seal App
This app used to be one of my favorites, every spring, tracking all the sharks and sightings. But this year it is just a collection of photographs of dead seals. They need to either restrict dead seal sightings altogether (because they're not sharks) or create a category when you log a sighting that it is in fact, a dead seal. Until they focus back on actual shark sightings, I'm taking a break.
