Shruti Box App Reviews

This is a great app! I think the other reviewers don't understand what a Shruti Box is used for. If you are doing Indian Music you will like this app. The Pa and Ma are actually beatless against the Sa, if one selects Harmonic in the settings. The interface is obvious to folks who have used a real acoustic Shruti box.

Those who dislike it simply don’t understand it. It works perfectly and has beautiful “voice” selections. The virtual Shruti box can be “pumped” by moving the volume slider up and down with one finger - actually easier than a “real” Shruti box.

Great idea but it needs more souunds and vocal vowels specifically. I work in an orthodox church and 'ison boxes' like this cost a pretty penny, I can assure you.

Thanks for this instrument, I like the atmosphere it creates. Very well in tune. I'm playing flute and doing some vocals, it's very usefull and I'm having pleasure to play... Please, add more great sounds !

Please give us help by providing examples of tuning to play Carnatic songs.

This is more like a synth drone. Might be better if it had some way to control vibrato or a simulation of squeezing the bellows. Doesn't quite get the sounds right either.

Very welcome update, but still needs Audiobus or IAA compatibility. The lack of these options limits its use. Please add!

The instruments sound no where close to originals as claimed. Poor midi like sounds.
