Sidecar: Automotive assistant App Reviews

The concept of CarPlay widgets that this app displays and uses is amazing. It’s a shame that widgets aren’t built into CarPlay by default because they really are incredibly useful and makes CarPlay a lot more unique to each person and less bland. I’m writing this review at a time when this app is essentially brand new and I can say that in its current state it’s blown me away.

No connectable that display any information I can pin them to my map but they are blank so I don’t know if they just aren’t available for my truck or what it’s a shame because I was really hoping it would support my truck because I liked the idea of this app

I have been a beta tester and was amazed by the dedication he Jeff puts in to improve. Now waiting on Mach-E on boarding (actually next in line) But if you have a OBD scanner, must give it a chance.

This app is super innovative and constantly improving. CarPlay is an untapped gem and Sidecar shows what is possible when someone puts effort into growing an application. Glad to have found this early enough to watch it continue to evolve and improve!

this app is the best carplay app ever. loving using it to see my gas levels on carplay, and i use it almost every single day

Great app! Please add support for Volkswagen Atlas. I love the 3D Map and widgets. Also along with Apple Music widget, please add support other streaming widgets (i.e. Spotify, SiriusXM, YouTube Music, etc) to the map.

I love this app, everything regular CarPlay lacks Sidecar provides. It makes driving more enjoyable.

Unlike Google maps or Waze, this app, Sidecar does not show speed limits or the speed you’re driving. This is a known deficiency in Apple Maps and until Apple institutes a speedometer and speed limit notification in its Maps app Sidecar is really useless. Unfortunately, it’s pretty good but lacking. So until Apple adds those features, I will continue to use either Waze or Google maps as my primary navigation choice .

I think the app is awesome and super cool. I don’t really understand how to add a vehicle and frankly don’t want to share my cars vin in an app. BUT And I cannot express how much I enjoy this- SATELLITE MAPS. Google Maps has it, but the quality is so bad. Literally is the best. Maybe add traffic lines also!

I belive what would make users use this app even more would be fixing the search bar on the maps section. you always have to paste an address and most of the time it takes you somewhere else.
