Great App

Great App! I’ve been using it for several years now and it also became extremely handy during my recent college Physical Science class where we had to take pictures for a seven night moon location lab. One thing that you could add would be to have the azimuth and angle show up when you take a picture from inside the app, otherwise those numbers will only show up via taking a screenshot, which is awkward to do on an iPad.

Doesn’t work with my case on

Edit: my case was the problem all along. Seems silly that I have to take my case off to use the app all of a sudden, but at least it works! I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling several times. I’ve restarted my phone. I’ve played with the calibration. The app just refuses to work. I’ve had this app forever and it’s always been one of my favorites. My kids and I love finding the planets. Please fix this app so I can update my review!

Great App

Love this App!

No comets

After purchasing, I realized this app does not show the location of comets, which was is the reason I purchased it. Kind of bummed about that, but the rest of the app is really neat.

This world sure is splendid and beautiful

Thank you God for the heavens and earth and your fruitful creations here to be able witness your might and glory with the help of friends. What an app! I think it will help many in their appretiation to you, oh heavenly God. Our father, even without the app. It is still a joy to wonder at your splendid works in unison we thank you.

Love the app, but I’m a little disappointed

So I’ve been waiting to see comet lemon 2025/A6 but the app won’t show you , It’s very disappointing. I looked all over on the app and it doesn’t come up. I even have the paid version. It’s a real disappointment they didn’t add that.

Please add back a widget

Hi. I’ve been trying to get in touch. I bought this app so I can use the widget you advertise but there is isn’t one. Can you please explain why? Thank you.

Fun App

Me and my grand kids have been enjoying it for years!!!

This App is Awesome

This app is awesome! I love walking around my living room looking for constellations! My favorite that I found is Orion. And SkyView gives you endless facts on every single star that you see through the screen. Sometimes when I’m bored, I’ll start wondering around the house, with an iPad in hand, looking at planets and stars. It’s endless, all the imagination and creativity put into this single app, SkyView.

Why?

I don’t know how long I have used this app and I love using it. However, the only thing that bugs me is having to go to settings to reset the amount of visible objects to match the sky. The slider doesn’t move after closing the app, but when I open it later, I have to tap the slider button so the screen matches the view I have. Why?? It’s really the only annoying thing about this app, as far as I’m concerned.

Best

Perfect for the universe but why pay to update😄🥰

Amazing Opportunity

It’s an amazing app that I’d recommend to anyone who has young children. Not only can you see the planets, you can see where the planets are located each night or day! It’s fascinating to watch the International Space Station and the Hubble telescope.

Love it!

Upgraded to the paid version just because I enjoy the app and its quality, and the hard work of the developers. It’s cheap and permanent (transferred to my new phone with no issues). I use it often to identify any visible objects, including the numerous boosters and other objects in our orbit. I also appreciate the many options available in the settings.

The App

One of the best apps I use. This app made me get interested in stargazing. I like the fact it accurately shows where the objects are. I just love it.

Eye opening

With this app you can look all the booster rockets from 🚀🛰️🛰️🚀50 years and it tells you the date it was launched, where and what it was for couldn’t believe how much trash is left floating around in space with nobody planning to clean it up.. it’s terrible and these humans do not represent humanity in general I would hope. God help us.

Probably my favorite app

It’s always nice to see what planet or star is where. Thanks.

Absolute Best App of All Time

I went camping recently in Northen NH, and this app was SO amazing for that. I got to see exactly what was in the sky above me (and below me). Absolutely recommend this app to anyone who loves stars and the night sky, or is simply looking for some more education on the topic :)

Love this app

This app is flawless. Love this app!

Not very accurate

Nice for a general reference, but not very accurate. ISS was off by quite a lot, and the planets are not in the right position either. Other than that it’s pretty fun.

Hand held Observatory

This App is a observatory held in your hand. The free version is decent but the paid version shows even space junk!

Will leave ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if ya tell me how to track

Comet C 2022 e3 🤘👽

I wish I had this year’s ago.

This is an awesome app with so many great features. I have learned so much about the sky from this. Even during the day time it works. I love to see where the planets are within all the night time stars. The constalations just come to life with this app. This app brings the heavens to earth.

Will you ever add Tiangong?

I spend entirely too much time, watching the sky and watching it via SkyView. I do enjoy it so mush.

Nice app but compass gone

I enjoyed the app when first downloaded but when I bought the full version the compass disappeared. I went to settings. The compass app is checked but no compass. I turned music off and it comes back on. A little disappointed. The settings do little.

Father and daughter time

I had the free version for years and when I got my 4 year old into Astronomy and showed her this on my phone, she always wants to view this app with me. I purchased the full version. She absolutely loves this. I’m absolutely depressed to see the amount of space junk we have allowed though.

Must have

I’ve had this app for over a year and it’s great. It’s amazing how detailed it is. Well worth the $2.99.

SkyView

My husband and I both enjoy using the SkyView app especially with our grandchildren. It’s fun, interesting, informative and educational.

Amazing Constellations

I’m in the ocean, living on a sail boat for one week. The sky is black and dotted with brilliant stars. Not a street light to be seen. I have my phone and this awesome app gazing at the amazing.

Rick Walsh

Just an amazing app. Fun and very educational. I never get tired using it.

Love Skyview

I love skyview! It’s super easy to use, and I can have fun using it alone or with a group of family/friends. It’s pretty awesome to be able to open the app and instantly see & know more about what’s above me. Definitely recommend.

Stuck in Ursa Major

App generally runs amazing but it’s just been stuck on Ursa Major and no matter what I do it won’t move around.

Simply Amazing

I love this app.I use it every night..I am amazed by creation and it took the hands of a Creator not a big boom to place this beautiful ever changing universe in place..Every time I use this app it becomes more real to me..For those who you that put this together thank you as this is my favorite before I go to sleep at night or just need time to unwind..

Awesome app!

I have shared news of the SkyView app with a dozen friends. We all sat for hours talking about how neat it is to learn what we are looking at. I used this app while camping in Grand Canyon. Just love it!

Best app

I love this app! I have had it on my phone for years and it is the one I use at least 2 x a week minimum. Ut is fantastic for all needs from astronomy to astrology. If you are familiar wii the house of astrology it helps knowing which sign I enters onto a new house or new phase! Great app to help kiddos see planets and understand what they see when they look up on the night sky!

Best star gazing app for what I wanted to be able to do

I tried other ones and found them to be actually underwhelming. I can just spot a star or constellation that in the sky and find all the information in the app.

Phenomenal!

I love this app! I love looking at the stars and this makes it that much better.

Sky view

I love this app I use with planet finder , it takes you to a whole new world, and it’s amazing how much space junk we have, most planets have asteroid belts we have space junk belts lol .GREAT APP WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!!🛸👽👀✌️

Amazing!

This app is truly incredible. No other words are needed. It’s worth the money.

Amazing app.

Everyone should have this. The most educational and informative app ever made.

I love this app!

It’s specially great when NASA sends messages about the trajectory of the International Space Station because the app helps me to distinguish it from other celestial bodies. Than you.

Amazing

This app is amazing! The details and information. I look at this for hours some nights

SkyView

Must get! Comprehensive, intuitive, flexible, and easy to learn.

3 Negative User Reviews for SkyView

Cool but phony

Seemed to catch a constellation that was pretty obvious, but it seemed to make up constellations through my camera that wasn’t even pointed to the sky. Thought it was legit until it wasn’t. Guess it’s only $3 wasted.

Camera function = ZERO. FAQ = ZERO.

Location ability = ZERO. Did I buy the premium version? = YES. Did I waste my $$? TOTALLY

Camera Disabled

Ever since the camera stopped working my rating dropped. I enjoyed sharing the pictures in real time on my social media feeds.
